Hey guys,

Im currently stripping the car completely and have sorted out all the accesories I'm keeping and re-wiring.. I'm not keeping any of the factory wiring except for the engine bay wiring loom and thats where I'm getting stuck!

Its an R34 GTT by the way.

Behind the passenger side headlight theres two plugs that come from the headlight/aircon wiring loom that runs from the driver side and finishes behind the passenger headlight. The two plugs then connect up to the main engine bay wiring loom.

I've been trying to figure it out for a few days now and can't work out what it is and if i can just get rid of it.

ive seen these plugs in R32 and R33 GTR's too.

Il put some pics up asap!

any help would be great!

Thanks

Herb

Have you pulled the loom out yet? i.e. the loom that runs through the firewall? You can trace the colours of the wires back to the plugs. We started actually looking at those plugs about a month ago during an engine conversion but ended up getting the loom sent elsewhere so I never finished. But from memory there were air con wires in there and a bunch of other stuff that feeds around the front of the car to the fuse box. I don't know for sure what the wires are but I probably wouldnt get rid of it - could perhaps move it instead? Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but we couldnt find any info on those plugs either.

Hey bud,

thanks for the help, I've figured out which ones are for the aircon, lights, indicators,.. and thats the only two left..

well im not sure which fuse box it goes into.. the one in the kick panel or the engine bay one..

im thinking of maybe stripping all the headlights, aircon,.. etc off it and then just keep this one and once we get the engine all wired up see if i can just cut it off.

cheers
