Hi everybody!

Does anyone know what head unit is this?? Even a company/manufacturer would be very helpful!

sorry about the bad quality, was cropped and blow up from smaller pics.

if anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. I was told could possibly be cd/cassette, but doesn't look like a cassette could fit anywhere. Looks like a CD slot up the very top, but i don't know what the rest is for :D

cheers!

i don't actually have the car yet (bought, but stilll in japan) hence the bad quality pics. :D

just wondering does anyone even recognise just the general layout of the head unit? Does it look like a Sony or JVC, etc? I've tried Clarion, Addzest, JVC, Phillips, Pioneer, but none of their cd receivers look like this one. Not surprising, this head unit could be quite a few years old, so could still be one of the above brands, but just an older model and hence not on the site anymore.

cheers.

why dont ya just wait till it gets here ? :P

prob wont make it here mate, dodgy bloody warfies and everybody else who goes near it....... *previous experience*

Oh. and i have no idea what it is, never seen anything like it and i recently played the "identify mystery headset" game also.

Good luck tho,

haro

ah HA!!! thanks guys, i think i've got a match on a Carrozzeria head unit.

Presenting the Carrozeeria FH-P7000MD! :)

http://search.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/sear...cale=0jp&acc=jp - (just click on the model name, should show some pics ;))

what do ya think? same head unti?

if it is, i've scored a MD/CD unit! And my portable music of choice is MD! Got a Sony MZ-R91, bout 20 MD's, so this should be quite handy :D

yeha my car came with a carrozzeria cd player and carrozerria tv and sat nav.

the head unit was OK but useless as it didnt come with a remote so half the shit didnt work and the function button on the head unit was busted so you couldnt adjust anything, the remote has a function button too. sold if for $150

hmmm... hopefully all is working with my unit. Although, yours sounds a bit more complicated with TV and SAT Nav.

I'm just happy i've got an MD unit, cos i've actually got MD's. Such a good audio medium, Sony wasted it completely, didn't put any marketing behind it in this country. Could have been very big.... oh well.

fingers crossed regarding the remote, if i don't get it, hopefully i won't need it :) Remote do anything more, than a 100% working head unit would do?

Oh hey, forgot about this thread.

Cheers Nick!! a slightly happy chappy  - I sent ya an email, and i whored a bit of SAU space with a couple of threads about it :P Vic and General sections. Cos some vic people don't like to leave their state :( I've got a lot of help from there so i thought i'd let ppl know how it all turned out.

hey guys

just imported a car from Japan and it had a carrozzeria FH-P7000MD fitted. you need to have a band expander fitted so i was told by the guy that imported it for me. Did you get a user manual with it in english? there are a lot of features on it, but the most annoying one is not knowing how to change the Clock!! I've been searching the net trying to find one, thats how a came across this thread.

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
