180Sx With Rb25 Gearbox Issue

Hay guys i have a 180 with rb25 box, i have an issue with it, wont select any gear apart from 1st!

A bunch of mates have told me it is the linkages if true were can i get fix from people who know what there

dealing with.

Need help fast to get fixed asap, need boost fix cant keep driving my other half cars

rb25 gearbox looks like this (no linkages)

have you bled the clutch lately?

no i havent, hasnt been driven really for over a year!

would hope not, it has a brass button clutch!

IF it is gone not gonna be happy, do you guys any good places to take it?

The clutch itself won't usually die from sitting around, the hydraulic system will though.

See if you can take it to Boostworx, Jaustec etc.

i was ment to have it to boostworxs on friday but cant get it there, taking the box out and taking somewhere

Just bleed the clutch before you take the rather drastic step of dropping the box.

Pump up the clutch pedal a few times and see of you can get a bit of pressure up. If it does, possibly a bleed will fix it, but you may want to direct your attention to a master or slave. Good luck, but I personally wouldn't take the box out till you've at least PROVED its not your hydraulics.

^^ Have had slave and master fail, clutch goes to the floor with no pressure

What about reverse? Reverse uses 1 gear effectivly...

The box wont get damaged by a bit of wind and sun. Pressure will be lost over time.. Especialy if the seals on everything arnt super new

This happened to me, car sitting for ages. The bleed point at the master cyl solved my dramas.

just dropped the gear box off this morning, when i drained the oil, bits metal and other bits of crap came with it.

So the guy who fixing it says its either the selectors or something else to do with selecting gears
