saw 3 6Ts at CRD yesterday waiting to tune my unichip and general checkup.

1st 6t was an APS stage 1 putting out average 220rwkw

2nd 6t, stage 3 putting out average 320rwkw (stock is approx 194rwkw) so well over 500hp. Cost him $60k all up.

last one was the 6T ute owned by Mario at CRD putting out 375rwkw

awesome sight esp Mario's doing demo runs

Are you sure your not mistaking it for Theos ute?

(Lime/yellow 6T ute with Racing Hart rims)

no, white ute, aluminium tray, Nitto rears, Marano? rims(similiar to Momo Sports, split 5 spokes), twin exhausts. Mario i think, curly hair, glasses, oldish, helps Jim with the tuning

come to CRD and you see it there along with all these cars ;

plus a LHD R34, high mount turbos with the lots and and an awesome sound just idling(not on web page)

no pics sorry, was in a rush. Guy was pretty open minded, not "yeah, mine's better" kind.

    • Hell, I'm sufficiently wary of the ZSS suspension arms, let alone something like a hub.
    • Got it back home and got started pulling the hub off and diagnose the issue. Axle was stuck after removing the 36mm nut so i used a 3 jaw puller to try and push it out and... eH5FXvJ8.mp4   spend the next few hours trying to remove the axle from the remaining hub as it was very much jammed in there when the spindle sheared off. resulting damage as below R53AIy6 - Imgur.mp4   Looks like the was already a stress fracturing in the spindle as can be seen with the darker cracked section My working theory is maybe when the pinion gear exploded last year the shock put through the hub was the initial crack. Then a few events later it finally let go. Just lucky it happened where it did and not 190km/h on the next sweeper or into the hairpin The bearing/hub assembly went in in 2019 and were non-genuine "ZSS" assemblies and no nails were harmed in the process. #BreakHubsNotNails
    • Thanks mate, couldn't find in VIC, ended up ordering one from NSW, getting rwc to get new plates and registration done.
    • Before all the EFR fan boys come in, have a look at: https://www.garrettmotion.com/racing-and-performance/performance-catalog/turbo/g-series-ii-g30-825-58mm/ It also comes in a T4 1.06 divided housing. I would dare say if you want response & also decent power, this thing would chop.   AND apologies, just re-read your post, you've already bought the turbo... whatever you do, make sure you stick with divided housing and proper twin scroll manifold.
    • People have got to stop doing that. ShatGPT is not a search engine. It is a hallucination factory.   I also would recommend the 1.05. The .83 will "work" for you , in that it will be more responsive, but I think you'll find that it won't be anywhere near as good running it out to 8000rpm as the big housing will be.
