R34Gtt 12V Lighter Issue

Hi guys,

Having some issues with the 12v plug on my skyline.

I am trying to power my nav man through it but it won't power up, it works in other cars. The 12v lighter socket works as it heats the element enough to light a smoke ect.. any idea on what I should check ? What is the normal voltage that should be passing through?

The Nav Man charger could be a smaller design only by a tiny bit. So its not making contact. Head into Autobarn/Supercheap Auto and buy yourself one of the adapters and try them in there see if they make contact. Or you could just hardwire the charger in and bypass the socket completely

good point will make sure that its actually making contact... didn't think about that one.
