Abit about my stagea

Mods

Hypergear hi flow 30/71

Front mount cooler

Turbosmart boost controller

Blitz airpod

Poked dumppipe

Brake cut mod

Blocked of bov

My cars been having a slight miss

lately on idle and while driving in gear 5

At first i thought it was my fuel filter but changed it to a new one same shit.

I have noticed that it hasnt been driving the same lately in terms of torque delivery i also thought that i may have blew the cat but upon inspection exhaust sytem is still good.

Ive always wanted to put my car on the dyno and plugged into a computer to see if all is fine because ive never been able to stall my car past 2000rpm (one foot on the brake and one on acellerator)

Any recommendations on which dyno place and cost in melbourne?

Does anyone know how to test coil packs?

Thanks in advance.

Viet

If you are running a 3071 on the stock computer it may be the plugs, the car would be running very rich.

For a cheap dyno run, make your way to the Vic section and sign up for the RTR dyno day. You will get a printout of power and afr's I would assume.

Drop in some time if you want to swap around some coils, I have a few here.

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?

    • Yep four point harness. Mounted to a bolted in brace running behind the seats. Dont use it for daily driving tbh but good to have for when its needed plus it looks cool.
