I got my HFC's and cat back through the same guy. Good discount and big improvement on delivery times through this guy. Couldn't be happier.

Hey when you buy from GB on myg37 how abouts do you pay? paypal or some international money transfer?

thanks

The GB organiser is a guy called Lance (1cleang) who has his own parts company set up (cant remember the name). I paid via PayPal and would recommend to anyone buying anything overseas via a forum to use this method. Paypal is far from perfect but your chances of being scammed are significantly lower.

Tons of people have purchased through Lance and he has a very good rep. so I was never really worried. He deals directly with FI and gets a discount because he generates plenty of business for them. The main advantage though is the significantly shorter delivery date. Because all FI exhausts are made to order, normal delivery right now is over 3 months. Go through Lance and you should have it in 2. Thats exactly how it worked for me and that even included the Christmas break.

I was just quoted USD1815 delivered to Sydney airport. His declared invoice will be sub $1000. I paid via PayPal last year no problems as part of the GB he ran for FI RHFC'S (GB# 3)

$1250 for the SS CBE with the upgraded X pipe and $565 for shipping.

He quoted me in late Jan (no GB) and it was $1895

He wants $500 down and balance in 30 days. Build time was quoted as 3 months.

You just message Lance via the GB page or PM him and he will send you the details.

Sounds about the same as I paid, except shipping was a little more to WA. Adding the cats did not change the shipping price much at all.

Keep in mind that you will pay customs fees when it lands. Not GST just ground clearance fees or some crap. Was $200 over here.

Shipping took less than a week from California to Perth which was impressive. FI also does an awesome job with the packaging. Was no chance of any damage with the mountains of bubble wrap that was used.

A few questions if you dont mind :)

1) How much louder isit at idle

2) Isit much louder at low revs?

3) I assume mid-high revs will be loud?

When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
