It's about time I started this....

I started off with a 98 gtt triptronic auto RWD had the full nismo factory options (except sunroof and the dark tint laser cut glass), had the R33 Tommy Kaira special 17" three piece signature rims on it when I brought it (now for sale as they don't sit right with the wide body mods).

I'm the first owner in Australia and had the car for several years now, started off with a couple of basic upgrades, FMIC, pod filter, radiator and sound system with boot mounted battery.

Then I started on the body. Bommex body kit - bumpers side skirts and gtr bonnet (not complex but was a bit of a pain to mod to fit right) and got the tear drop shape flush mount bonnet clamps (lockable). Disconnected the centre catch but kept the safety catch and now have the sub controller mounted where the bonnet release was under the dash. After market extra wide GTR Z tune glass fenders (wider than GTR factory fenders) that I have moded to allow for the lambo doors (scissor doors).

Found my rear over guards last year and also got lambo door hinges (not happy with the hinges so am going to stregthen them then reinstall them so they sit right). Also last year I got the V Spec front end subframe ect (Thanks Godsmind for your pics ect and for the front end gear). Got other parts from various sources (including on here, ebay and through Import monster). Still running the RB25DET with front outer cv's blocked off. Got the new crush tubes made by a mate who is a steel fabricator (Thanks Mineham sheet metal), also going to get him to make my fuel cell to be mounted where the spare tyre used to go once I have my TPMS and new exhaust on (some time in the next few weeks). Also have an after market sunroof coming which will also be a solar panel (another mate will make a solar panel the same to suit as a replacement to the glass) which will then assist with power to the battery for the security tracking and monitoring systems presently being upgrade (sorry not providing details).

Now running Buddy Club 19's (could still be a little wider to better fill the guards and still thinking about going to 20's +) with better offsets than the Tommy Kaira's. Need to find/make Gandor mirrors with indicator in (so I can remove indicator from the guards) & LED tail lights (including indicator) have seen some dodgy ones that don't include indicator and not bright enough for day time use.

Have posted a few pics for now will post more later

    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
    • Yes they do. For some maybe. But for those used the most by abusers, ie Skylines, the numbers are known. The stock eyebrow height for R32/3 Skylines is about 365/375mm or thereabouts. The minimum such heights are recorded in adjacent columns in the database.
    • Hmmm, interesting. Makes me wonder whether there is bias as well. It's the cheapest fuel, so it is used for all kinds of ill-maintained shitboxes which are bound to have issues regardless. Nicer cars tend to require higher octane rated fuel and can't use it anyway. FWIW, the official NSW E10 facts page is decent.
