Hi Guys,

Sad to say but my car is for sale. I now have a brand new company car and have recently moved house - therefore i have no space for my V and it sits in the street and the only time i get to drive it is during the weekend :(

- Debadged the rear
- K2 motor emblemless grille
- Black bumper indicators
- Tinted windows (it's 2 layers of 32% so it's effectively 16% tint)
- Electric seats, automatic fold in mirrors when the car is locked, auto headlights, factory VLSD with the manual premium pack, alarm with immobiliser plus much more factory options. Comes with 3 sets of keys, original owners manual and service books. 2 of the 3 keys have the central locking coded and the 3rd is a valet key.
I have taken very good care of this car, the body and paint are both in very good shape. Interior is also very clean, i have meticulously looked after this car in every way. I am truly sad to sell it but I will have a company car now and have moved house last week and I have no space at all for my car so I would much rather send it off to another enthusiast who will look after it rather than let it sit in the street and age/possibly get damaged etc..
Any questions at all please dont hesitate to contact me I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Car passed RWC recently nothing at all needed fixing. I have organised a professional detail inside and out just waiting for a buyer.
Need this gone! I hate seeing it sitting in the street not getting driven. This is an awesome, rare and unique car. I love it to bits and you can see by the pictures below, but it has to go.

Thanks dude appreciate it. Will be a sad day handing over the keys but the money i'm spending on it now for insurance etc when it doesn't get driven could go towards a house. It's priced to sell too.

I know what you mean. Have yet to sell my second car...insurance + rego + maintenance = sucking my wallet dry.

If only you're in WA...would know one or two keen people.

What are you driving now anyway?

Yeah tell me about it man. That's why i'm trying to sell it as soon as i can so i'm not wasting all this money on the on road costs when it hardly moves. I'm surprised i haven't had hits from local people up here - there's only 3 V35's in Mackay and it turns heads like crazy i thought it'd take a week max to sell it.

Well i sell new Hyundai's so i have a demo i45 Premium at the moment. 180L of fuel a month, maintenance and insurance all covered and all that comes out of my pocket is $55 a week :)

Oh god, I hate you....=) glass top? The car looks good :) Do you guys have complaints about the glass leaking or something? The first batch seemed to have a few problems...?

Yea turns heads but then still an import...not alot of people like buying imports for some reason

haha yes, panoramic sunroof. it's pretty awesome. i haven't heard anything, but in saying that i've only just come over here last week from used cars. i would assume after a long period of time the seals would fail and leak.

true that, at the end of the day i just want someone to pick it up that will take care of it the same way i did and improve on it.

Can't argue with a company car!

People will say 'don't sell, don't sell' - but I am learning pretty quickly that if you have two cars and keep one as a 'toy' it just doesn't get driven.

In the 4 weeks since I've had my Pathfinder, I haven't driven the skyline once - it's either been too wet (and I don't want to take it out to get dirty) or I can't be shagged setting up the ramps needed to get it out of my garage. Pretty much become a 35k dust collector......under a car cover of course ;-)

Yeah exactly man. I mean i'm only young, so i'll save my arse off and get into a nice place with a garage and shit in the next few years and buy a GTR or something of the like for a 2nd car/project or whatever.

Right now this car is costing me money that i need to be saving. The whole time i've owned this car i've absolutely dreaded the idea of not owning it because i love it so much - but the time has come where it needs to go :(

Yeah I got ya - did you get that noise in the new gearbox sorted?

Only downside is these cars are rapidly depreciating. It's a buyers market.... :-(

Rather keep mine than take a dick on the price.

Yeah man, it must have just been the bed in period of the new clutch. That's what i reckon it was.
Very true.. i started at $21,500 and thought it'd sell easy at that given what's done to it/condition etc and the gearbox but yeah it should sell soon.

  • 2 weeks later...

As Smokey said earlier, I put mine on carsales for $15,000 as it is 2003 and AT and has done 110,000kms. Had few people interested with even less offer , so changed mind. Gonna keep it rather than selling it that cheap. The price of this car is depreciating really fast and selling an AT is a tough one. Good luck Sean.

I had one guy offer me 17k and you can guess what i said to him.

Yeah the auto's with that many km's would be a tough one indeed. I have had some local interest this last few days which is good, thanks dude

The price of this car is depreciating really fast and selling an AT is a tough one. Good luck Sean.

True, probably because of the prices you can import for at the moment. you can pick up a V36 sedan for around $20k complied. And if you are happy with an auto, you can get an early V35 coupe for well under $15k complied.

It is sad that I can now get a V36 sedan for the same price I paid for my V35 sedan less than 2 years ago!

yeah that is true. I think considering the modifications, condition & reasonably low km's i think what i'm asking is fair. That is of course comparing with other cars on the market that are the same and i bet none of those manuals have the same CD009 gearbox as mine.

Anyway, we'll see what happens i guess.

Sure, I don't think your price is unreasonable. Just the drop in prices for the V36 (and therefore the V35) in Japan, combined with the drop in the value of the yen is making it difficult to sell locally, unless you are wiling to accept a rock bottom figure.

Most won't pay extra for 'mods', and would argue the transmission repair would be 'normal wear and tear'.

Not trying to be the bad guy here, just judging the market as it is at the moment.

yeah Greg i do agree with you there and i understand what you're saying. I got offered a figure yesterday which i might take but i'll see.

haha well i still have the issue of getting it actually in the driveway.. :/

    • sold listed as a Tomei LSD 1.5 Way For 1998+ Nissan Skyline ER34 25GT RB25DE w/Open R200 https://www.ebay.com/itm/174006114594?campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms=&campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=71883f2ccc571356e0a757bc7adfdde2&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms= it went in like butter all gears, alignment, back lash etc, rotation and clearances correct, and if rolling all rotates smooth and free when coasting down road , clutch in or out over 10 mph smooth... its the binding, clunking and jerking from a stop that is most concerning, also seems like its going to tear the tires off in 10 miles of normal road driving.
    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
