Hey guys,
I need to sell some parts, I've changed cars so need to sell everything that isn't relevant to an S14!

I have an R33 S2 which I'm wrecking, there are a few bits left and I'll update with those in a few weeks.

1. Weds Wheels (Guild maybe?) These are 16x8 +30 front and 17x9 +36 rear. Double staggered setup from factory, forged single piece wheel. PCD is 4x114.3 and 5x114.3. The wheels are in exceptional condition, zero buckles or dings, there was a small amount of gutter rash which has been repaired (please see pictures).

I'm happy to sell these in pairs as I expect some people won't want to run the double stagger. $400 for this pair or $700 for the set!

The 17x9 have 225/45r17 Federal RS (model before RSR) with about 80% tread, 5.5mm in the centre, even wear on both tyres (been on the rear of my live axle R31 for daily duties) $350 for this pair or $700 for the set!

The 16x8 have 225/45r16 Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 (again, 1 model old) with a small amount of tread left, at a guess 3.5mm and even wear. I will get some proper pictures of this pair later this week.

Sparco NS2 Rally wheels. 16x8 +36 rear 16x7 +32 front. Forged 2 piece wheel. 4x114.3 PCD. Also in good condition, no buckles or dings, small amount of gutter rash which has been repaired (please see pictures). The wheels have 225/50r16 tyres but they are bald, I can remove these for postage at $20 cost. $350 for this set. (more pictures to come later)

Kenwood DDX6039 headunit. This is installed in the new car I just bought, but I need to sell this to fund new lifters. It's in very good condition, no worn or broken buttons, screen is nice and clean. Full list of specifications available:
Seems to be a good quality unit, motorised face with tilt, beautiful 7" LCD screen, plays DVD/CD/MP3 etc, has 3xpairs RCA preout so can run front/rear/sub, has dual zone volume control so you can listen to music in the front and a movie in the back, or something... Also has the capability for a navigation add on. Comes with remote and wiring harness. $450 for this.

Apexi PowerFC and Hand Controller, removed from a running S2 R33 GTS-T RB25DET manual. The ECU is in good condition, there are a few marks on the surface (please see pictures). The hand controller is in exceptional condition, I haven't seen one this clean before. The hand controller was tucked under the kick panel with the ECU, so I don't think it saw much use/playing around. $900 for the PowerFC + controller.

RB20DET/RB30 5 speed manual gearbox. Removed from a working car and hasn't been used since, previously had Redline Lightweight Shockproof oil in it. Comes complete with speed sender, release bearing, clutch fork etc but no shifter (I have a short shifter which will be for sale shortly). The input shaft is in great condition too. I bought this as a spare for my R31 but never ended up needing it. $400 for the gearbox.

I'm more than happy to post any parts, please send me a message with your postcode for a quote. There will be more stuff updated shortly, R33 S2 parts (suspension, brakes, diff, hubs etc) and I will more than likely be wrecking my R31 next month too (rebuilt differential, tailshaft, rb20det gearbox, custom made clutch, exhaust, s13 suspension conversion, coilovers etc). I would trade for S14 manual conversion parts.

Thanks!

Thanks

how much for the "Sparco NS2 Python" if you were to stop the refurbing process?

They're already at the painters unfortunately, they might be able to be stopped at primer but I'm not sure where it's all up to.

I'll send you a PM and we can chat.

Cheers.

Part: S13 to R31 rear top hat adapters + rear coilover mounts / sleeves

Condition: Fantastic condition

The rear legs are from my S13 HSD HR coilovers, the bottom mount has been ground down so it fits the R31 diff. The thread is 55mm in diameter, it will suit HSD HR and I'd imagine others too. $60 for these (Cost $130 pair)

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
