hi

after fitting new exhaust today(3'' turbo back xforce) car started fine and idled for 15 min

we took it off hoist and was reversing it out when it stalled

after some diagnostics we discovered there was no power to fuel pump

all fuses ok

all relays ok

its got me stumped

i hot wired fuel pump, car started and was not throwing check engine ect,so i drove home

drive home was fine,no stalling ect

its now sitting in driveway

i cant seem to locate a wiring diagram anywhere on web

has the ecu cut power for a reason??

or cuold it simply be a wiring issue

can anyone shed some light ?

have i missed something obvious

or is there a known problem with wiring to fuel pump or sensors when fitting bigger exhaust

i could run a fused and relayed wire to power up on ignition to run pump, but i would rather find the fault

thanks in advance

ian

another question on sensors

the 1st sensor behind turbo is an oxygen sensor??

the second one in rear of cat is an egt sensor??

even if these were not reading correctly due to new exhaust it wouldnt shut down fuel pump,or would it??

well ive checked the ecu(in pass kick panel?) and term 18 (fuel pump power supply) has no power

i have pulled rear seat out and got to fpcm

if its faulty would that stop the ecu powering up the fuel pump?

thanks

found issue

9th fuse from bottom on rh side of fuseblock in cab kept blowing

upped it to 15 amp and power was restored to pump

dont know what fuse is cause its all in jap,but its obviously in the fuel pump circuit

had the fkin back seat out

removed and replacer fpcm

and all it was was a fuse

never trust anyone else to say "yep checked all the fuses under dash and there all ok"

even if he is a mechanic

time for beers

heaps of beers

thanks guys for all your assistance
