Adelaide Vehicle Inspections - Has Anyone Used This Service?

Wondering if anyone has used this service before -'Adelaide Vehicle Inspections' - http://www.adelaidevehicleinspections.com/

Main things for me are paint thickness test and compression test.

Interested in some feedback if possible.

The guy that just bought my Skyline used them.

I was actually really impressed by the AVI guy. He does quite a few imports each week as well.

I spoke to him quite a bit while he was doing the inspection. He knows his stuff and is quite thorough and fair.

I find him to over compensate for small items.

He told me my car should be a write off and that it had been structurally cut. In the end when I got the pictures he meant the front reo bar had been cut to fit a FMIC.

Also said that the odometer didnt work at all. After a for a 5km drive with a GPS and it was within 100 meters at the end. There was a list of about 7 items that were either incorrect, misleading or over stated. The new owner and I went over the car with his report and in the end his report was a fair stretch from any truth. In the end the new owner bought the car and put the report in the bin.

He also didnt show for 1 inspection than arrived 20 minutes late for a second inspection. No notice was given for each and I had to chase him both times.

He is the cheapest but I would avoid him. Possible even organise a tow to pick and drop off at a workshop, or owner to drop off/pick up.
