hi guys,

i am after a small part for my v35 coupe i dont know if wreckers would even bother selling it lol so thought id try here if anyone has a wrecking v35 coupe or would know how i would fix the problem?

I was installing my sub and amp and then realised that the plastic bit to keep rear seats in place had snapped! so im after that piece to replace otherwise any other suggestions in fixing it?

Also after the passenger side sunvisor (dont think my chances are high at all) as i need one in the beige colour scheme 70th anniversary model)

Thanks,

I got my fuel float from Import Revolution in Melbourne, he was definitely the cheapest option, and very good to deal with. I would recommnd giving him a call, as he can probably assist with the other parts too.

Recall what it cost you? i just need the plastic float, not the fuel level sendor

Yeah i needed the same, as i snapped mine off completely. I have the receipt around somewhere but i think it was around $60-80 which included being send from sydney to melb. Do you need the plastic float from the drivers side of the car, or the one from the passengers side?

Whatever you do, don't go to the dealers, they wanted about $300 for it!

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
