Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

Recommended Posts

Sorry, up the road towards city. Units next to the servo (used to be BP?) and Dominos (possibly still there???)

Right near where that mechanic crashed the customers porsche and died couple of years back.

Ahh i see, its a 7/11 servo now and dominos is still there, that's pretty close to my place.

The Breeze is good down there, we go to the park to do our work outs by the river, great spot for it.

Everyone thought it would never flood again I think!

Well if they didn't use wivenhoe as water storage we wouldn't have had the problem in the first place :/

Well it is designed with both storage (46% of capacity) and flood mitigation in mind (54%) and is only designed to reduce peak height by a meter, it achieved this in 2011. It was peoples expectations that failed rather than the dam! Most of the water came out of the Lockyer anyway which joins the Brisbane River below the dam, it was all just a series or really unfortunate events.

Yeah I guess. Then started the blame game :/

Yeah, the flood commission was a total joke with the finger pointing, some of my measurments got submitted as evidence to that, had to go and sit there for a day, terrible waste of everyone's time!

Such a fun job :P Do you often get questioned regarding the validity of the data you provide?

Always

Yeah although it's not the best image to have the exec arguing publicly like that :P

Just start a little earlier ;) by the time we get there only the crying is left

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
