Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

They're a super complex intricate mind field maze of an engine definitely super technical and difficult lol

Working for a jeep dealership that's Different avenue man how'd that come about

Haha yeah I've poked around inside a couple before. They are well made, I'll give them that much.

I'm glad you picked the 5.7 and not the 5.0L. What a f**king piece of garbage those things are.

Not a Jeep dealership. 4WD workshop that specialises in Jeeps. Apparently I'm their 'tech guy'.

I get to do a lot of cool stuff there. Different stuff you don't normally see in a regular mech workshop. I like using my brain a little so it's still interesting to work there.

I'm doing night school at the same time though. Freshening up on some old hat skills I lost years ago

Would never use a dirty 5l but on a very sad side not there is a 5l r33 getting around qld :( it even has a vs commo front bar ffs

But yer, shame you don't know the technical side of it would of loved to pick your Brian in regards to stroker kits/cams.... Oh well

You coming out for charity cruise?

I can offer advise, whether it's good or not would be another story.

Probably the best person in the entire world you can talk to is Marty White from John White Race Engines. He can even build it for you if you want a tough engine. Marty has specialised in v8 killer engines for decades (read 30+ years). They build all that sorta stuff for the speedboats they race. 1000+hp N/A etc

Long long long story that I'm still not sure I understand... I'm not involved so i keep my loud mouth out of it

It's not worth understanding. Better to forget and move on.

It had a lot to do with no one wanting to do the work the club needed to get where it needed, people putting their hand up because they knew it needed to be done and no one else would do it, then everyone complaining about how the job was done or whatever. That's basically the general gist of what went down....for about 6 years

Yep yep, is he still out if gympie?

I believe he built my uncles speedway engine not so long back :)

Shit! sorry I tagged that f**king aweful photo back in...

Haha yep, I felt so bad when i saw it at qr... I automatically understood how diehard Nissan fans saw my car.

But my car dosent have a dirty slow heavy 5l in it.... The thing could barley turn tire let alone drift

I'm not sure exactly where he moved to. He used to be in Deshon St Woolloongabba next to Chilton Engineering but moved about a year ago.

If you are doing the work all yourself, I'd offer him money to give you advise. He's an extremely busy man but if you are paying for a little of his time, I'm sure you'll get every bit of info you need

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
