Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

My brother is a mechanic at Toyota, apparently it happens a lot there, people hear thier good reputation for reliability and decide that means they don't need servicing.
lol

Or

1. get a bottle of scotch

2. drink said scotch

3. promptly yell at the cause of BS

4. ......

5. ......

6. Profit? And no more BS

This would work except for the fact that I'm now in a management role and responsible for all my actions. I know how I would deal with the situation, unfortunately the new Managing Director doesn't like confrontation and hence he won't deal with shit until it's escalated. This is f**king frustrating especially when we have issues in the team that need to be dealt with NOW!

quick pointer Tony. Write all the issues you have identified in point form and date them. Keep a log of them and when the times come bring the log out and discuss the relevant issues at the time.

then you will have more weight when it comes to crunch time.

That does indeed sound like BS, whats the point of having a position where you have staff to manage if you are not allowed to manage them?

We live and breathe three simple principles: don't lie, don't cheat, don't steal.

I've been advised that someone here has been doing 2 of the 3. With normal issues, i can whip people into shape, when it's this serious, the big boss needs to step in. Only thing is, he won't. I've heard this from clients and candidates hence my concern....

Don't worry mate. Got a record here. ;)

venturing into the realms of politics there................keep your focus clear, just remember that whistle blowing also has its limitations mate.

When I say responsibility for the management of the team, you know what I mean and where I'm coming from.... It's our rep on the line. Recruiters are already treated as scum, don't need more negative attention./

    • It's almost certainly a reluctor generating an "AC" waveform. No, ECUs don't generally read those - they're usually set up for PWM square wave 0-5v stuff.
    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
