Anyone heard from sneakeypete today? last I heard he was attempting to do the oil filter on his car, I hope he hasn't got his hand trapped '127Hours' style in the engine bay... :P
changing oil +filter on a Skyline GTR is not that overly difficult. He'l be fine

shits f**ked.

Its possible to do but i just don't have the right tools to do it. Bar the old screwdriver and hammer.

If i order a cooler+relocation kit it'll be here by my next RnR though, so i'll pick one tonight and buy it.

And it got confusing. i'm now 99% sure that the filter on there isn't the same as the Z145A either... completely different diameter. As far as i understand 33's still use the 145 so it shouldn't be that this is a 1994 model...

    • No. Only for a standard ECU with/without Nistune. Standalone has no need for it. That's like the 3rd time I've said so.   And as to that sensor linked - yes, it does look like it would be the right one. I've never bothered to see how available they were - just assumed that they'd be hard to find. I think I'd be planning to go Link ECU rather than buy sensors I don't actually want to make Nistune work, if I did not already have Nistune. As you do not already have Nistune, you should realy consider your options.
    • If there's enough meat in the housing where you want to put the M12 adapter, then do it, but be aware that if/when you f**k that up you'll probably be repairing it before doing anything else. I'd just drill it out and tap ina 1/4" thread. No need for rocket surgery when the next most obvious thing will do. You could throw a 1/4 x 1/8 bush in there and use the same fitting you intended to use.
    • Is the only issue that the oil catch can is getting filled on hard runs? I'd be thinking more about oil control issues rather then the head lifting, especially as you aren't seeing spiking in the coolant pressure.  Do you need restrictors in the head, or better drains from the head? Does the sump need venting to the catch can?
