To whom it may concern ... dropped the oil... no metal...... shifter out. All it was was the tinest of plates that holds the shifter in place was bent..... some gentle "massage" as natro puts it saw it right... until I can get another one fabbed up

Good to hear it was simple! Didn't I say that? It might be something simple in the selector? real good to hear.

Anyone get vids? I saw a bajillianty GoPros.

they always take time to upload. Also looking forwards to these

Of all the weird dumb-ass things to happen on a track day... My high level brake light is cracked.

So you have the word BRAKE lit up on your dash? my kombi did this years ago because the pedal sank to far under hard braking.

was a sweet as day and a good bunch of drivers,no incidents and a good bloody time by all, even mixed it up with an r8 audi and the f$%#@n alsome r35,you could say i had a good time, but it would be an understatment, well done sau, another great event, didnt even miss the tug boats(supras).

good to hear you enjoyed yourself. As did I, been a while since I had that much fun at QR, clubman is a good layout, and my brakes survived....just.

Wow, ask and ye shall receive! Incidentally, did anyone notice that I went totally the wrong way the first lap? Like through the closed off bit? LOL.

lol, did not notice that.

Thanks for the pics Grego!

and as I mentioned yesterday, I'm more than happy to pay more for Lakeside to reduce the number of cars and make sure we at least break even

Happy laps was happy :D

Will try and get around to adding photos and video tonight. Got some good capture in the last 15 minutes as I tailgated people.

You should have some mad abomb footage on there :D

Yes I do, but thought I didn't recorded it at first, was disaponed but found it lol

Yay :) keen to see if it's actually loose or if it just feels like it's sliding all over the shop lol

Haha good, means there's more left in it :)

(In the car it feels like it's squirming all over the place, especially through the second half of turn 1)

Mine is stable as fark until I try and put power down on the corner exit...then she gets loose.

I saw you get a little sideways a few times

NO, like I mean that the actual light itself, above the rear hatch, has a crack in it. How does that even HAPPEN?

well that sucks :(

    • Make sure you use the spherical bushes** on the lower arms, ifyou do that. ** at least, if not the whole replacement lower arm.
    • The tap for coolant flow control will be stuck open. It's not just the air door motor that dies.
    • Not really, but the heater box is pretty simple mechanically....if the door is one way the air bypasses the heater core and if it is the other way it goes through it for warm air.  If you are sure the actuator you moved manually is for the heater mix (there would also be one for output air direction) then I'd take the heater box out and see what is happening (you'll have to regass and re-coolant the systems afterwards) BTW pp724 onwards from the GTR workshop manual cover the system in good detail, it is probably worth checking. I think the IAT sensor might be a problem electrically for getting cold (if you got 24 error code not -24 it thinks the incoming air is -50c) and it covers how to test the sensor (although most likely it is either not plugged in or a wire is damaged)
    • Use the GKTech subframe bush and bring your subframe 10mm closer to the chassis. You'll need to fix an exhaust hanger to suit. One of the best mods I've done.
    • You'd really have to pull it apart further to know, it least you can be confident that the one heading to the back is not connected any more. There was once a ground on the shifter seal mount too, your head unit issue could be that simple
