Re- Registering Stolen And Recovered Gtr

Re- registering a Stolen and recovered vehicle

Hello guys I have just purchased a r33 gtr

From pickles auction , it had a clear title although

Has had the vin numbers scratched off and compliance plate broken off

I have the original vin numbers and compliance details

Been on the phone with the rta and was told to get a blue slip

Have it failed then request a inspection by the rta to identify the vehcle

Inspection is next Monday just wondering if any body else has done the Same thing? Body is straight although looks like there has been some engine upgrades

Hard to take it back to full stock as gtr parts are quiet expensive

If its the same one I'm thinking of, then the car you bought was discussed on here in the last 2 months.

Hope you get it all sorted, the more GTR's on the streets the better!

Yep that's the one , drives well though

No evidence of fire just vin been gridded off

Mods that I can see

Adaptronic mapped ecu

Larger twin turbos garret not sure what though

Hks waste gates

Front mount intercooler

Some sort of cams upgrades ( from the idle sound )

Denso injectors looks like 660 cc

Turbo back exhaust 4 inch

Aftermarket manifolds and dump

Greedy prospec 2 boost controller

Body seems to be in good condition for a stolen recovered vehicle

Looks like a recent re spray pearl white

Engine looks like its had a recent rebuilt aswel , judging by the turbo and other seals

It would of defiantly taken a beating but I'm surprised it wasn't stripped before it was recovered , at least the ecu and electronics

HA HA good luck getting that past the RTA, Blue slip they will fail that on so many lvls. Everything needs to be dead stock unless you have a mate doing the blue slip. Prepare to be raped. Might pay to take your own lube.

After u get the vin sorted, it shouldnt be too hard to bring it back to stock to pass a bluey.

Chuck on a stock catback exhaust or silence the current one, raise it up if its low, box up the airfilters and hide the electronics. Done and dusted

    • Hey Kaz, Unfortunately I am not at home currently and wont be for a few more months so I do not have access to my files or CAD. And at this point I prefer to keep the files to myself as I want to potentially make a few more pairs and see if they will sell within the EU before openly marketing them. But the way it's shaped and how small it is, I don't think you can fit both an indicator and a fog light onto the same surround, unless they were very small LED-type clusters.
    • I’ve just installed a Uniclutch sport into my R32. I’ve been blown away by it… it drives like a stock Toyota Corolla. It doesn’t make sense to me that a performance clutch can drive this well. I was about to pull the trigger on a Nismo Coppermix twin plate when I discovered the Uniclutch and decided to give that a shot instead. They’ve changed the game and I couldn’t be happier.    I was previously using an Extreme cushioned button clutch with lightened flywheel. I’m still using the same lightened flywheel with the Uniclutch.
    • Mmmm no, that's a white series 2 R33 GTS-t
