Cosmetic Repairs And Other Repairs

Hey guys

I rear ended another car today and was just wondering if its worth claiming insurance as the excess is at $1800 and wanting your comments on whether or not my damages are significant and how much it would cost forrepairs. The other car is fine just scratches so it shouldn't cost too much. I've uploaded a few photos below

I would be putting it through insurance if i were you!

Headlight, front bar, reo, bonnet etc etc will easily go over $1800 once all painted etc!

If the other party claims you'll have to pay the excess anyway, wont you? Might be worth checking the terms of your cover.

I thought you only pay the cost of repairs up to the excess amount, so if repairs are 1000 that's all it costs you . so if you think it's cheap, there's no reason to not go through your insurance company.

You can just go to a crash shop for a quote anyway.

I'm presuming it'll go over $1800 but just wondering how much it would go over that by because I would rather settle it between ourselves than go through the insurance company because I would have to pay a premium for claiming and etc...

I'll go get a quote today and see how much it'll cost me
