hi all i just moved to okinawa from the united states and recently purchased my dream car an r32 gtr. the car has 600hp and has what feels like an unsprung clutch in it. i was told its an os giken triple plate. the release bearing is making an incredible amount of noise and i wanted some insight as to what clutch i can use for driving this thing around the island is sooooo tiny and there wont be any chances to stretch her legs until she goes stateside in 4 years. any help would be greatly appreciated. also i looked at he thread about clutches and nothing seemed to help my situation. i also would like to know what spring rate coilovers to buy as i am looking at fortune autos i have had them on past cars and loved them again i am looking for comfort not performance as the car will never see hard launches track days etc just maybe a spirited start every now and then.

thank you in advance to all who can help!

thank you any specific brands of coilovers that are better for comfort than others? where might i find this nismo clutch because i cannot find them on the island out here in okinawa...

Nengun.com, rhd japan some of the traders on SAU.

Just keep in mind.....good coilovers cost around $1500 per corner. Anything less than that cannot be described as a "good coilover", really only being able to be described as "not terrible" at the upper end down to "really crap" by the time you get to $400 per corner.

I mean, just good dampers on their own cost more than $300 each. And they're only "good" not "great" in terms of the toys that come with them. ie, they're not adjustable, not height adjustable.

Brand names for damping = Ohlins, Bilstein and some others, depending on how rich you are.

Brand names for Jap coilovers = Cusco, Tein and so on, and there is no overlap between those lists.

valving? shouldnt that be adjustable?

BC's are adjustable, doesn't make them any good at all, whatever the setting.

A quality shock is gonna cost some coin either way. A Nismo S tune should do the trick bang for buck.

Yahoo Auctions.

The Tein I have is poop..

Not sure how good the Hypermax or Cusco.

Im tryin to save up some coin for the Ohlins .

If you come across the Ohlins black flag get them.

they are as rare as bigfoot riding a unicorn on a rainbow.

    • I used to have Walbro 255's when they were a pretty common update. (or were they 044? 040?) In any case I had a dirty tank. I thought the tank was good, but I would find the filter would clog in maybe ~50km of driving. If the issue persists, well, your fuel system or tank has crap in it that the pump is sucking up.
    • Hi. Ok thanks for the info. I/we do not know what tune is on that Nistune ECU so it is why there is stock ECU and that Nistune is for later when the car is done. I have guy who tunes Nistune and other ECU so i will then take it to him to see and properly tune for the car   And for the update. On 99,9% it is bad fuel pump. Which is wierd cuz it is like 2 years old(brand new walbro 255) and that filter (also brand new) was dirty.  I was alwaya pumped premium(100) on very good petrol station so i dont know how is that possible...
    • Dear folks My family members have 4 different cars : Triton 2015 and Corolla 2011 and Mazda3 2012 and Hyundai Elantra 2014 Looking to buy engine oil funnel spill free What I found are are below  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BBTTJNKX?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image&th=1 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/145553221359?srsltid=AfmBOoqYBU6Ptw0LU_bAp_k67U3qkF97HHvePkA7iHZw8vUmiwoIRaRr https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09X23TCS5?th=1 Is there a funnel with attachment that fits most cars ? Don't mind to spend for a decent quality  Thx
    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
