So today I gave it ago. Oh what fun this shit is !

All was good until bleeding...well first I had to get the block drain bolt off. Was Fun!

The bleeding

I followed the engine manual attached* then tried the coke bottle cut in half idled for 10-20mins then the coolant raised up and bubbled a little bit then that was it. Bottom rad hose didn't feel hot or under pressure?? Wasn't keen on idling it any longer.

So I waited abit and went for a 20min drive, temp gauge was where is usually is in the middle , when I got home the lower rad hose did feel hot and did feel as if the was some pressure in it.

If I have stuffed up what should I look for? Overheating gauge?

I'm a little stressed and tired. Not sure

Usually you have the heater on and pour the coolant in very slowly with the breather on the manifold open, when you see coolant coming out without air you close it.

Then you start the car up and get it to temp, rev it a few times to circulate the coolant and to move any air to the highest point.

Then when cool i usually open the bleeder again to pull out any air that was trapped from the first bleed.

I did lines 1 and 2. Do you reckon I should open bleeder this morning while it's cool to see if air or coolant comes out

Also how do you guys turn the heater on I don't use it often/ever? Turn climate control on and set temp to 32? Do you need to turn a/c on?

Its about having the water run through the heater core and getting the air out of there too, if you felt hot air come out when runing the engine with the heater on when at temp then water must have flowed through to push any air out of the core and lines.

Yes open it again today to see if any extra air come out that may have been trapped in air pockets in the engine after you warmed and reved it a few times with the thermotsate open.

I opened bleeder nothing come out?

What should I do? Yesterday I filled it up until it came out of the bleeder screw

I need to bleed again?

Also there is defiantly coolant in lower hose if I squeeze it I can feel it

Its in the factory instructions you posted.

Is there water in the Radiator firstly?

Cap was removed? For water to come out, air needs to be able to go back in from the Rad cap.

Did you have the bleeder open far enough?

You can even do the final bleed with the Radiator cap on with a little heat in the engine which will pressurize the system a little and help push whatever (air or water) is sitting under the bleed nipple.

Didn't have time yesterday to try will do it today

Yes coolant in radiator and I can feel it in upper and lower rad hose and rear heater hoses

Cap I think was off but can't remember

Yeah took bleeder out and in

This afternoon I'm going to jack front up water bottle in rad with distilled water in it. Idle and open bleeder until coolant and no air comes out close it. then watch bottle in rad for any last bubbles. Does that sound right?

    • can someone tell me what type the stock injectors are on a 98 rb25det neo engine? all aftermarket intakes require style /size injector pictured below...I need to know what stock engine has. and if they are compatible, or what mods would have to be done.   style of intake I am looking at  https://www.ebay.com/itm/325396084484?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110013%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIMRXI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D264094%26meid%3D5341792cb2134ae08e62edba0106c479%26pid%3D101196%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D266154719116%26itm%3D325396084484%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2332490%26algv%3DPromotedRVIPbooster%26brand%3DCustom&_trksid=p2332490.c101196.m2219&itmprp=cksum%3A3253960844845341792cb2134ae08e62edba0106c479|enc%3AAQAJAAABICwDxH%2FaslyJlxG5OwCzDVs5U6ncPDDFP4HCfgb8bXFQagmnGWQKp%2F5LAV0adQfbjzLOMM5V9WdEAXvNCLcpgDrzFvXcL7dVf5HawGKZAaaGFBnv4h4bnbRe6OSYvS8sL7PFPrxKj1Ffjdm6cYtU05cBROA0QdRKCNqPtF1hizoeiccNy6dwbcFsfX6syZa5MfzX2aEOofmNIehOqxSmtQvJliZHTgLy2BTDxXv5Zq9atpb1m%2BVtBHabBK8Wn6U2uPOAs71mwVWNmc1t4ZnHatrqKLQC6hCPTC8NW3QzFTCUvLg%2FWU4IZ1IAyPK288DdviqpLaN9sgbF3Ia0z6zXqLkqPyXbN7irzRC0HP2kjwHM8czF9PjWtRHDVNb1AiU9%2FQ%3D%3D|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A2332490&itmmeta=01HWN3YNH6HQ8PEG4RPPSH1HSB thanks
    • Hi Experts, My father’s car Mahindra Jeep CJ500 2.5L, 1986 model. Currently registered in Overseas.  Want to replace the engine in Overseas with Mahindra Bolero 2016 2.5 L turbo used engine ( not endorsing new engine number on Rego paper in Overseas. Then Importing to NSW. Is this car eligible for NSW registration if able to submit all compliance certificates?   Regars.
    • I know you said no amps in the boot, but there's enough space next to the battery for a pair of modern small foot print amps OR one small 6x channel amp. This is what I did over 6 years ago, used 2x marine amps (no decent 6x or 5x channel amps back then)
    • Pressure delta gauge is pure pron. No guessing, no excuses.
    • That’s the one. Yeah, the seller has confirmed the base ECU is from a manual car.    To be honest, I’m only worried about the TCS light being illuminated due to registration here in NL - unsure on rules. Back in Japan, we weren’t allowed to have any permalit error-related lights (or so my shaken guy said).    Looks like this Nistune is the way to go then, appreciate it GTSBoy, and the others that chimed in.
