hey guys.
Sorry been really busy at work and havent been able to follow my own thread haha.

getting the turbo studs for the manifold this weekend most likely. then just need intercooler piping made up and my dump pipe and shes all ready for a tune.

thanks for all the support, glad your all ready to see my rb20 blow up haha.
but im excited to also see the dyno results.
should be hitting the dyno in a few weeks as i need to tweak a few things and make up a bracket to fit my fuel rail.
waiting for new braided lines as there was a miscommunication about the sizes, but he sent them out to me free of charge (i just had to cover postage, which is fair enough since it was my mistake).
gotta get some push lock fuel line fittings too.

will keep all of you up to date with results.

Yes dori34.its in the r33.. i received the turbo yesterday... after chating the guy on facebook and telling him ill buy it, he put the price up the mongrel! Ive got him to send me a 7 psi spring as well to run before i get my tune done..

So.. ive got the turbo.. looks good. He also sent me a different spring to adjust actuator pressure. He didn't say a thing as to why he put the price up.. even when i questioned it.. wouldn't reply.

Any way.. ive gone and test fitted it and even though he told me its a direct bolt on and works fine with standrd manifold.. the outlet on the front aluminum compressor housing hits the exhaust manifold. So im going to put new studs and a 12mm spacer on the manifold flange. If thats no good and causes me issues, ill have to get a aftermarket exhaust manifold.

So ive finished the install. First test.. all well. Very quiet turbo.. can hear it spin very freely and smooth! Feels a bit less powerful than the gcg hiflow that i took off . Boost control so far seems ok but i still have to tune my greddy profect ebc. 12mm spacer brought it out enough to clear the exhaust manifold.

Hi guys, man its been a while since i've updated this.

Took the R32 down to the tuners to finish off my piping and any other loose ends that i may have missed.

so just a matter of time till i see the dyno results and stuff.

in the mean time, heres the booklet Eji takada sent me (Owner of mambatek).
it included the balancing sheet and a sticker.

Not sure what the balancing sheet means. If anyone wants to tell me what it means then please by all means.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
