Do a quick search through goggle and see what pops up.

You gotta love bonus bits.

Yeah, after moving through the results I finally found an english site with an explanation... It is indeed for adjusting air/fuel ratio.

Hey folks. Been lazy and haven't said g'day on the roll call to date......so...Hi!. I own the white 33 in my avatar. I live in Qbn and work in the ACT. I'm of the older variety of humans, and have a family which keeps me pretty busy. I'll try to get to a meet or cruise at some stage, but my life is pretty hectic and I don't often get any spare time.

Anyway, I'm always out and about around Qbn and ACT so if u see me flash....your lights!.

Oh, and for the keen eyed of you....I know it's not a GTR....the car came with the badges....sue me!. I am trying to get a grille to fit in the space with just a Skyline 'S', but having a little difficulty. I have also had the badge off, but it looks sh%t. Any help on the grille would be appreciated.

cheers to all Ozzy

Hey Jayson....how ya doin? I work and live over QBN way. I do get out to Tuggers pretty often...mostly to Bunnings or the Hyperdome when the MRS drags me over there to look at plants and girly stuff. It was you that sent me the CAI stuff wasn't it? Thanks for that. I often see 'Lines around and give 'em a wave and flash (of the lights)...It's a great community feeling amongst the owners. Anyway, Keep in touch.

cheers Ozzy

Hi guys,

I have left this post in the wanted to by forum but it makes things easier for all if the parts are in canberra.

Anyway, I am after side skirts, GTR style RW and some springs to lower my ride about 20-30 mm that would fit over standard struts.

Ohh yea I would also like to get my hands on a turbo timer, getting sick of waiting for the car to cool.

IT would be great if any body could help me out

cheers...

Ps. love the flashing, keep it guys

Terminal - cool, welcome to the forums.

Got any pics of your new car?

J

I should probably formally introduce myself as well. I bought an R33 the other week. I'm quite happy with it and am having heaps of fun with it.

Terminal, which uni you at? I work at the ANU, I've seen another R33 around don't know if it's yours though.

Here's a pic of mine.

I've only had mine for a week, I live over at Johns, so i park in the ressies carpark. mine's similar to yours FunkBrother, but different rims. I've got NSW plates as well.

i've got a dodgy pic my mate took on his phone. ill get some better ones when i find my camera (its under all this crud in my room somewhere)

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
