R33 Gtst Sunroof Issue

so i am looking at an r33 that has sunroof issues.

the back of it on both sides sag down, if i press any button to control it, i can hear the motor working but the sunroof doesn't move.

what does this mean, the rail/tracks are broken and entire sunroof assembly needs to be replaced or the motor is stuck? i assume broken tracks as it only sags from the back.

any help much appreciated.

I have this on one side, i just bolted it up bit would like to sort it so i can actually open it up again, havnt been bothered to rip it all out to find the issue. Let us know how you go

i am led to believe it is the tracks/rails that are broken or collapsed so would need to replace that..

now the fun part will be take it out to do it

Ask if you can pull the sunroof out and have a look. Its only 4 or 6 nuts from memory and easy to pull the glass section out. Should soon be able to see if its no good

FWIW I pretty much never use my sunroof. So if you could just space it up so it seals and disconnect the fuse, I dont think youll miss it

I know its a bit crap but I use mine in winter about 3 times, when the heater is a bit warm but having the windows down is way too cold. Use the sunroof to pull some air out of the car

Sorry for hijacking here but does anyone know where to get a new seal for the sunroof from? Ive looked everywhere and cant find one or would my best bet be contacting nissan?

i sealed it up no problems.

dont even use the sunroof anyway
