Dog with Bone
Hi guys, Just wondering whether it's normal that my V36 doesn't have a spare tyre but it does have a Tyre sealant kit (emergency pump and sealant) ? GeeDog
No idea sorry, but if you want a spare, and if it takes the same size as a 350GT coupe, I have an unused space-saver spare in Adelaide that you can buy for a very reasonable price. mkn23
Seems a bit odd. Not sure if that's a factory option or not but as far as I know most should have space savers. The Max
It is odd, though it looks factory to me. Still, if you can score a space saver along with the correct foam insert that sits inside the space saver for your toolkit, that'd be way better because no amount of sealant will fix a split/ripped tyre. Dog with Bone
Thanks for your replies, guys ! Yes, I thought it's odd as well. I was surprised that there's no spare . Found out a bit information from Infiniti G37 website but for convertible one: "If you have a 2009+ Infiniti G37 Convertible and you happen to live somewhere other than Maryland, then you probably have a Tire Repair Kit in your trunk instead of a spare tire. Why is it this way? No idea. Someone within Nissan made the decision based on space, weight, or cost." ?!? Just PMed GeeDog, hopefully the 350GT spare would fit. The Max
I think it's fair to say it was purely to save on cost. I'm pretty sure the factory Enkei space saver rims are a bit more expensive than some sealant and a pump. fishinmilan
yes. mine did not come with spare as well. those new kv36 does not have spare tyre. it has a portable pump and tyre gel can fix small leak and puncture. but the regency will take them all out. make sure you ask your import agent to get them back for you~!!! Mine were missing and my agen got similar ones out from a stagea~ Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/459197-370gt-without-a-spare-tyre/#findComment-7593474 Share on other sites

sonicii
I have heard of this as a option carmakers have instead of an actual spare tyre.. this is the first time I have actualy seen an example of it though.
