120% happy with mine.

I have HKS Dump, Front pipe and Cat back with Super Drager muffler.

good power but fairly quiet.

I have been toying with the idea of ditching the resonator to pump up the volume a little.

In my opinion that bigass muffler and 5" tip looks the goods with the 4" pipe leading into it visable from the rear of the car as well.

Good system - not too droney at cruise but wakes up when you give it to it.

Not too restrictive on moderate power applications, but will know for sure in a few weeks when the new motor is back in (with considerable more power)

I'm considering using a 2nd hand Super Drager cat-back exhaust from a R32 GTR on my R32 GTSt.

Would it be noisier on the smaller engine? Would it be noise legal? Are they 90mm?

Are they full stainless steel or mild steel with SS rear muffler or available in both?

120% happy with mine.

agreed mate, looks great not too noisy and the rear muffler does look pretty fat! :)

they dont make brand new ones anymore but there is a similar one called super silencer i think its called that its 3.3/4 inch, if you are buying a second hand one ive seen them go for less than $700, what you could also do is just go to your exhaust place and ask them for a quote on a 3.5 mandrel bent full exhaust, as long as you buy good brand mufflers and cat converters it wont be too loud, you dont need stainless i think that its a wank factor cause its shiney and looks good, you would save hundereds getting it made out of mild steel. its completey up to you what you like, i priced the HKS exhaust brand new and it was well over 1000 and that is just for cat back you could get a full mild steel exhaust with good mufflers and cat for that price.

yea i got my super dragger installed with a high flow cat and 3" dump pipe i love it. I was worried about it being to loud but was very pleased when i turner her over to find a nice little rumble from the back at idle then when you open her up she puts up a little bit more noise but again nothing over the top

it is very quiet but very high flowing at the same time.

Nigels supra has this exhaust and he gained 30rwkw when he changed from a twin 2.5. and we all know that his car is HIGH powered.

i have this with full exhaust on a rb20 and a friend has it just cat back on a 33. mines quiet, and his is very quiet.

Highly recommended, but as noted, HKS no longer make them due to the tightening of noise regulations over there. I have one on my R34 (stock front pipe and cat) and it didn't even trouble the engineer (only 82db @ 4700rpm). Looks the part too!!

I run with the resonator - doesnt restrict flow at all just takes the drone out. It's a pretty big resonator, so without it I personally think it would be as loud as a bitch.:Bang:

How many of you guys run it without a resonator/middle muffler ?

Just dump pipe - front pipe - cat - pipe - super dragger ?

For those that do - do you think it's legal? does it drone? loud?

hey guys are all the hks exhaust systems only cat backs?

i have a straight though 3inch + 3inch dump pipe and its very loud

what would be the difference between the hks exhaust and just a normal 3inch exhaust system??

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
