Mine is stuck open and passenger side still goes up and down. Found this on how to fix.

my question is what did he actually do with the soldering. Did he just place some solder over the end in the picture or what.

Basically you are refreshing a "dry" joint. The solder on the board is no longer connecting the wire to the board. You will need flux to help the solder to flow.

I do have a solder gun to work with. Might do this tomorrow morning.

Have you tested the window motor. Apply 12v to the terminals and confirm it will move up and down first. The brushes in the motors are not replaceable. I am using Patrol motors in mine.

Yea they said another test is to see the passenger side window still works. Which it does.

Actually this only tells you there is 12v available in the system. It doesnt mean the motor physically works buddy.

Oddly enough after leaving the in laws to go home the damn window rolled up. I’m still gonna re solder whatever is giving it the fits

Test the actual motor, that's what mine was doing before the thing gave up completely. Try the simple things first!

How’d you set yours up to test

Mine had bullet type connectors which were not original, so i plugged male connectors on with short length of wire attached and used jumper leads from the battery. If your battery is in boot use someone elses car battery. You could also use a battery out of a 12v power tool.

I’m gonna tackle it today after I get done stripping the stain off my front porch. I’ve used the car couple times since and of course the windows worked fine but it still needs addressing in case I use it to drive into downtown and can’t roll it up when I park it.

Wise to fix it, when mine was working occasionally, It was broken into, the dog who got in stole the small change(master criminal) and smashed the ignition lock, destroyed surround, etc. I have the number of the car he arrived in, didn't call cops, just tracking him down and will deal with him old west frontier style.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
