you guys make me laugh hey..

i guess its humourous cos i work here and know all the ins and outs and how policies are rated and loss ratios and stuff like that..

but still i guess if you on the other side of the fence...then its you against the corporate giants, just like if someone on here was a traffic cop and had to read about people dissing police etc..

anyways each to their own fellas.. you sure you dont want to start a knitting group where you can all sit round and have a yak

Hi Riaz,

you got me the policy that I have had for almost 2 years and I was grateful for the quote you gave me and the help you were. I can't say the same for your organisation who as a non profit organisation and brag how they help their customers etc, etc, turn around and basically shaft those who maintain a good record.

As stated b/4, I was expecting a cpi increase and would have stayed put if that's all it was. But to be told that my area had been re-rated and that's why the increase was as much as it is, was basically unacceptable considering the policy stated that the car is garaged, which it is and has a alarm/immobiliser, so in my opinion I don't really give a rats ass what area a car is housed, the effort involved in stealing a car from a garage is incomparable to stealing a car from a carport or in the open. I don't buy that re-rating horse shit at all.

Torque insurance are a profit based business and if they can come in at $325 cheaper, then my old insurer probably needs to reaccess their procedures.

Perhaps you could teach some of your collegues the art of good PR :)

hey MirKz, dan isssit?

try HBF, i got a 1993 R33 GTS aswell, n i pay jus a tad over 1600, 1651 sumfin to be exact, and the insured value is 15,000. i mentioned the system n rims aswell but didn't specify so i dun think they'd be fully covered (or at all?). but look into it aye? coz im onli 17, and had car since feb so im sure uld get much cheaper right? (but my dad is like a listed driver on it aswell, even though he hasn't touched a manual for 20 years!)

Have a look at the first post of this thread :)

ric, HBF's health insurance is a not for profit organisation, the General insurance side is a profit organisation.

Also, HBF's General Insurance portfolio is small, and to look after the majority of it's members, it needs to charge more for higher risks.

Import cars are considered higher risk due to the fact that they are generally turbo and the parts do cost more for repairs.

Eye C.

still had to change as I considered $325 too good a saving to pass by.

As expensive as the parts might be, I can't see them being much more than an XR6 turbo. My cousin's is insured for $42,000 at $780. I think that the import thing is exploited some what. :)

Unique Car Insurance came it at the same price as Torque.
