Help!!!! Quick

just about to buy an R33 GTS-T but there seems to be a sound coming from the engine while it's idleing. it sounds like a bearing kind of sound...any ideas on if this is a problem or any ideas on wat it is...guy says it's been like that for 10,000kms and his dad is a mechanic and says he doesn't think it's anything...car is going for $15,000 probably and it's in really good condition..any help really quick please

Get it inspected, not worth the risk.

There is a few common noises in the RB25 engine bay, usually injector clicking is the loudest

For 15K can u really go wrong, get a performance workshop to check it out

Its probably a thrust bearing or the input shaft bearing in the gearbox.

My R32 has had a noisy input shaft bearing for the last 90,000km's.

Push the clutch in and see if it still does it... my R32 has a noise like the one you describe, and it goes away when u put the clutch in...

I have a similar noise to that in my R34 GTT when the clutch is out. It goes away when the clutch is in. Its from the Thrust Bearing. If it makes a lot of noise, then you should get it changed. If its a fairly softish noise then wait til your clutch is going too, this way you can get them both fixed and save on paying for labour twice.
