I went out to Bunnings and bought myself some aluminium and made my own shield up. It was more for hiding the pods from the cops than anything else. In the end of the day it looked OK but wasn't very secure at all and I think the cops would still question it and if they were to fiddle around with it they would realise it was a bodgey job.

The winner of Autosalon magazine's SCOTY is a BNR32 GT-R and it's complete'y road legal. He has twin pods but they are enclosed in a custom fibreglass airbox which was made by Jetspeed in Moorebank.

I called Jetspeed and they said they could make one up for me. I would have to leave the car with them for 2 days though as they would need it for day to take measurements and another day to wait for the fibreglass to set before installing it.

Looks awesome. I really want to get it done. I just have to get off my arse and get over to Moorebank which is far away for me (I am lazy with distances!).

If anyone knows of a place close to the city that can make up a fibreglass or custom airbox that would look PRO please speak up for the good of all!

Here's to no more defects!

Danny is this you from the OzHonda site too? I didn't know you owned an R32!

$150 for the box sounds about right. It will look a lot better than the one I made up. Check the other thread on this forum about the CAI box. I used it to make my own box up. Use carboard first, then use the carboard as a template. Easy.
