G'day everyone. I'm Steve and new to the group. I have a neglected r33 gtst that needs some love. Can anyone tell me where i can find parts? Preferably in Adelaide? I'd prefer places i can walk in, look around and chat to people rather than online purchases. Some of the jobs my car needs done is new window rubbers front and back, some seems around the boot and engine bay re done, 2 small bits of rust cut out, power steering fluid leak fixed, and finally new paint. I'm not interested in performance at the moment, just making it shine like it used too.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

If you're in the northern 'burbs, go see Alan at All Type Crash for the body repairs. Good bloke - somewhat specialises in imports and particularly Skylines. Although, like me, I think he'd prefer to have R32s sitting the front yard than R33s.

You can buy the window and door rubbers on line and do those yourself. I got Alan to fit and paint the new hinges to my doors, because I'm good with rubbers and other hardware, but hanging doors is not easy! He's also done a major repair and many small touch ups to my car over the years.

And, for mechanical help, perhaps go see Brenton at Fours'n'more. Well......for more serious mechanical help than the power steering fluid leak. That's probably just a hose, and you could probably do that yourself.

Cheers GTSBoy. You replaced your own front and rear window rubbers yourself? Including the glass? If so and your in Adelaide how about giving us a hand installing mine when im ready?

Do the different model r33s have different window rubbers? Any idea on part numbers? I dont want to waste $500+ on something that doesnt fit. I need to buy these before i commit to stripping everything and re painting.

G'day Murray_Calavera. Yeah i love my car. Its unique enough that most people probably wouldnt notice but someone else with an r33 would appreciate it.

Yup. Inner and outer rubber strips on the top of the door panel. Door/window rubbers on the door opening in the body. Door rubbers around the bottom of the door. All easy enough.

As to whether I can help you - it will depend on when you're ready. I have spent 16 of the last 20 months 2600km away from home, with no real end in sight. Maybe I'll be kicked off site by Dec31.

I wouldn't expect the rubbers to have changed between S1 and S2. Things like door openings are never changed in facelift revisions if they can avoid it. Too expensive. They just change plastic bits that make the car look different.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
