Just picked up my first skyline. R34 4 door with an rb25det and manual swap. I’m in the US. It has a bunch of issues but the problem I’m chasing now is the indicator, hazards, and horn do not work. I took out the indicator relay and fuses and tested separately and they seem to be working fine. When I activate the turn signal stalk or the hazard button nothing happens, no clicking, and no dash lights. Same with the horn. What should I test next? The headlights, taillights, and brake lights work fine so I think the stalk is good.

What do you mean by "test"? It sounds like you're just switching things on and off that you already know don't work.

Get the wiring diagram and a multimeter and start looking for power where there is supposed to be power and earth where there is supposed to be earth. Look for continuity across switches that are otherwise unresponsive, etc etc.

I got the hazards working! Turned out it was disconnected! Indicator stock still isn’t working. I took the steering shroud off and there seems to be a third connection missing I see two small white connectors but they don’t fit the indicator switch unless they need a short lead to convert the connector type. Can someone point me in the direction of the wiring diagram for the indicator switch?

Unfortunately man I don't think there's much here. You may very well be the only person to ever interact with/modify/have to un-modify that wiring.

I was once selling a stalk. Due to how Nissans Nissan, the indicators and the hazards are on the same circuit. if you don't fully plug in the hazard switch, the hazards will work but your indicators won't.

People then go looking for indicator stalks, but the issue is the hazard switch not being plugged in fully. That is the entire encyclopedia of R34 indicator knowledge lol

Not to mention, that the correct diagnostic approach to "electrical thing does not work" is to start with what I outlined above.

You only do swaptronics for things that can't be tested really easily, like ignition coils, AFMs, etc etc. And even then you hold your breath in case the fault that possibly killed the original unit kills the swapped in unit too.

    • You'd want to cap off the re-entry back into the dump too. Just something flat that can be held on by the Vband.
