Provisional Driving Test

hey ppls,

im from victoria and will be shortly moving to adelaide. i'll be doing my provisional practical driving test. i have done my P's test in victoria, but due to a disqualification, i had to regain my L's here which is a bit of a joke, but anyway. i rang up mitcham driving school and went to book in. i was told i should book some lessons in case things are done differently in SA to VIC and that its fairly strict getting ur P's in SA... the P's test in VIC was rediculously easy in my opinion.. i worked as a courier fo 2 years and did over 100,000kms of driving, not including over 200 hours on my L's before that.. so i wouldnt say im an inexperienced driver at all.. is it necissary to get lessons for techinical points because i just cant justify spending an extra 50 bux on 'learning' how to drive... whats involved in the test itself.. might be a silly question but im just looking for some advice on the actual process of the test in SA so i know what to expect..

thanks,

James

lol, ok thanks for that.. yeh i reckon theres some pretty stupid laws in VIC too... in victoria the learners written test is harder than the whole P's test, and the learners test in VIC is easier than the SA learners. so just wondering if the P's test is actually so strict in SA, or is it a piece of piss like VIC? :P

Bad habbits are a killer.

Get your L's. (Sample tests here) http://www.raa.net/page.asp?TerID=192

Do the above link several times as every time you do it you get different examples.

If you get any give ways wrong you will instantly fail.

Then you can only get 11 (I think) out of 40 wrong.

I'm willing to put money on it that you will fail the multiple choice section. :D

Then do the test. You won't need a driving lesson. Just make sure you know the rules.

EDIT: Looks like you already have your L's here in SA. :D
