Iputs more torque to front wheels, not sure of %age, but more than 50

Can't be more than 50%, ATTESSA hydraulic pump locks up the clucthes to the front wheels, rear wheels are always solidly connected. So at max pressure best is 50/50.

What does the centre diff button do next to the steering wheel?

Try it on wet grass. When turned off Stagea spins rear wheels for a bit and then feeds some torque to the front wheels and drives off. When turned on, it just drives off straight away, no waiting.

Very handy as the rear doesn't step out in the snow and ice. Not much use to me, no snow and ice in Sydney. Could be handy in the pits with the trailer on the back when it's wet though. The old Foulcan used to sit there spinning it's one rear wheel. Had to get towed to the sealed pit road once at Bathurst, very embarassing.

Just one more reason for choosing a Stagea :D

Hahahaha, good one SK, I can see it now, the old Foulcan smoking up one tyre in the pits and everyone looking thinking 'What the hell is he doing !!'...

Anyway, I just found this out last night as I was reading through heaps of Jap stuff on Stagea's.

With the button pressed in, the torque is 50/50 up to 20km/h. After 20km/h it sits at 80/20 (80% rear and 20% front) unless the front requires more, then it can vary up to 50/50.

Very interesting hay... You can see they were designed mainly for snow use (and would be great for pulling a boat out of the water at the boat ramp), and probably explains why you don't feel a big difference when driving normally with the button in.

I actually got the link from Rezz's post on the thread you started :D The first link, but it was in a link in that link - if that makes sense !!!

Here's the first link;

http://homepage2.nifty.com/WGNC34/tuningdatetop.htm

You have to click on 'INDEX' for it to bring down a list of other links.

That particular info is the third link down in that link :) - here's the link;

http://homepage2.nifty.com/WGNC34/tuningdouryoku.htm

To read it you have to put it into a translator (bablefish won't work for some reason....). I use this translator http://www.systransoft.com/ after a while you have to register, but it's free.

Then in some sort of Japglish you can make this out at the bottom of the page;

"You handle for the reference and there is this kind of statement in the instruction manual.

At the time (usually time) of synchronizer mode OFF basis: 0: 100 MAX50: Variable control up to 50

At the time of synchronizer mode ON below (when departing) vehicle speed 20 km... 50: 50 fixing

Above (when travelling) vehicle speed 20 km... basis 20: 80 MAX50: Variable control up to 50."

so this is a good feature to have when chopping holden utes at the traffic lights in the rain?

:);) ;)

Mate he was soooooo far behind, I leasurely changed lanes and drove along at the speed limit. Still took him a K or so to catch up. Subaru Forresters are also fun, they keep looking in the rear view mirror wondering why this strange waggon is keeping up. KEEPING UP, huh I was looking for room to go around. And then there was 4 guys in 2 WRX's that got whiplash when I went in between them in a roll on at the lights.

I have been having so much fun. :D

    • He obviously had his reason for flipping you off. I wonder what it was...
    • Thats why I stay far, far away from Eastwood. only go there if I wanna eat Korean food
    • I have to agree like, yesterday, I was driving down the warringah freeway towards the bridge when this jackass driving a beaten up Honda civic cut me off so suddenly it made me almost yank the wheel to avoid him hitting my car. Honestly and he had the NERVE to flip me off (or some other gesture Idk). Im a calm guy, but really some people just dont deserve to have a license, let alone be allowed to drive on densely populated roads/highways. If youre gonna cut through lanes at least use the damn turn signal
    • HPA do an interesting video on tuning, and Adrian shows on the dyno, moving from 10:1 to 12:1 (And I think even 13:1) and the power moves SFA. However, a couple of degrees of timing has a HUGE impact. Exhaust side of things will more be the length of the exhaust and how many bends and turns you have. The straighter you can keep it, the better. By a lot. Oh, and getting the diameter right. Bigger isn't always better. Going to big can actually lose you power.
    • I have to say, most people I see on the road fit the bill of atrocious drivers. Whether they be cowboys in their dual cabs, bogans in the Commodores, or the soccer mums. Pretty much most people on the road put zero freaking thought into driving. Barely look further up the road then the end of their bonnet, and have never even thought about how catastrophically wrong shit can go, by doing what they all deem as normal driving. Especially their late braking, racing to stopped lights, and sitting half a foot off the bumper of the car in front at 110km/h. Wanna know what's even better? By the time their kids get to be old enough to learn to drive, they've already got in the back of their brain what is normal driving, how annoyed you're allowed to get at people etc, and then their parents who actually have zero freaking skill at driving (Even though they constantly say "I've been driving for 20 years and never had an accident!") teach the little twerps how to drive, or should I say, how to make a car move. Literally watched a parent teach their L Plater, on a 4 lane freeway, that you just slam the brakes on, and push your way over, even with a B Double bearing down on you, and that's how you should drive, rather then, just keep going to the next exit. Same shit happens all the time for side streets etc, watching numpties pull dumb shit turns pushing across 3 lanes of traffic, rather than just go up the road another 30 seconds, and take the next turn that'll get you to the same location... Oh, and the damn right lane bandits. Or the retards driving along with their headphones in, and can't hear the ambulance or fire truck right up their ass about to run them over...   Pretty much, people drive on the road, like ego centric f**ks, and don't actually think how dumb shit their driving is, how it could easily kill them or someone else in a split second, or at the very least, how they're driving is contributing to all the shit they're bitching about on the road, like shitty congestion!
