Well... it was pretty much as i suspected.

Found out the radiator is a larger aftermarket unit...

ECU is a standard R33 GTR ECU...

Sam took me for a drive (Dr_Drift) in it... well... now i know what it can do in the right hands hahaha when we got back i was a little shakey and in need of some new underpants but soon got over it :(

We finally got to put it on the Dyno and had a couple of runs... second one blowing a nice little flame but was restricted by the mixture reader in the exhaust pipe... so... we took it out ;)

and this happened :)

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost.../414flameon.wmv - right click save as ;) its not the greatest quality but i cant actually get the video off the camera and on to the HDD so it will have to do.

Now down to the numbers :(

The car made 207rwkw on 9PSI :)

472nm torque.

Not bad figures for a stock GTR engine.... in a 1350kg cefiro ;)

so what happened to the guy from NS.com who was gonna put a deposit?

still for sale?

well he came down and loved it once we went for a drive...

but havent heard from him sense... i think i might have to start charging for rides... this thing isnt exactly easy on the fuel pocket :(

and yes... its still for sale.

ok i wanna get a car i can drive on the road without having my kidneys rearranged and at the moment im waiting on too many people selling cars... so the first offer over 16k can take it.

if this helps anyone...

it doesnt seem as tho it is going to be as hard as i originally thought to comply it... but i still dont have the money to do it.

so to get it on the rd will be 3-4k...

so if anyone wants it... im willing to take any offers from 16k.... nothing less

  • 4 weeks later...

mate if i complied it and had it on the road it either wouldnt be for sale OR it would be for sale for over 20k.

i dont know how much u think it costs to comply and register a car but it aint 1 grand. This isnt a charity sale

its all good. But this can stay for sale for 3 years the price isnt going to drop 3 grand :)

like i said... im in no hurry.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
