adznight
Hey there guys and girls. I was just reading that you guys are lucky enough to have a new International Motorsport Facility about to be built in Bunbury. Looks like they will be hosting a round of the Formula Nipon in April possibly followed by a round of the JGTC in December 2005! Looks like I'll be packing my bags and heading on over, most likey followed by half of SAU Vic More info can be found at www.bunbury.wa.gov.au or at www.pimm.org there is a download of the proposal here - http://www.bunbury.wa.gov.au/Downloads/BIC...buryLaunch1.pdf All I can say is.....bastards Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52250-wa-to-host-jgtc-round-in-2005maybe/ Share on other sites
GTS-t VSPEC
Adzmax, We try not to hold our breath here, cause it has been proposed a few times. 25GTT
Havin the JGTC would be like all my Christmases come at once! As Paul said though this would be nice if it evntuates but has been in the pipeline for a long time :-( This would be an awesome event though for us to attend as a group.. we could have an SAU coporate box!!! ;-) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52250-wa-to-host-jgtc-round-in-2005maybe/#findComment-1030199 Share on other sites

GTS-t VSPEC
We would sure love to have both Formula Nippon and the JGTC come to WA, but seeing as the new F1 circuit in China cost $600million, I would imagine the $60million there planning on spending would be a bit low. adznight
Yeah it's pretty small in comparison but if you have a look at the .PDF file it has some pictures of the track. It's a LOT smaller that the China track. The China track is a state of the art facility with a lot bigger seating capacity and facilities. Nizmo
but seeing as the new F1 circuit in China cost $600million, I would imagine the $60million there planning on spending would be a bit low. Land is a lot more expensive in China because its a rare commodity where here there's a bit mroe of an abundance. It wont be as big as China's etc ..... but hell its better than nothing!! Finally Perth gets to host a decent event Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52250-wa-to-host-jgtc-round-in-2005maybe/#findComment-1030646 Share on other sites
G0DF4Th3R
Land is a lot more expensive in China because its a rare commodity where here there's a bit mroe of an abundance so ure saying Australia has more land that China which represents 1/5 of the Worlds land mass? :slap: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52250-wa-to-host-jgtc-round-in-2005maybe/#findComment-1030805 Share on other sites
uneekwahn
Bam, I think she's saying that there are a sh1tload more people in china, hence not a lot of spare land Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52250-wa-to-host-jgtc-round-in-2005maybe/#findComment-1030812 Share on other sites
G0DF4Th3R
ah well.. hope the new facility is good though since its only 10% of the price of an F1 class circuit Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/52250-wa-to-host-jgtc-round-in-2005maybe/#findComment-1030832 Share on other sites
