R30 Hatchback Power Windows stuffed

Just bought a 1983 R30 Hatch for the wife to use and the power windows don't work. Have checked out the centre console switches and they all meter out ok. The drivers auto down/up works but nothing else. Have had a quick look around but am not paying $100 for a Nissan manual to nut it out if I can help it. Trouble is the weather has been hot this weekend and I have heard nothing but grief about fixing these dam windows. Can anyone give me some pointers before she uses a brick to open them. thnks, wardie

You've probably checked, but is the P/W 'lock' button 'unlocked' ?? The fact that the drivers window works but the others don't suggests that might be the problem.

Yep, tried all that and checked each switch with a meter. Have not had time to follow the wiring loom to see where it all goes so am trying to headstart myself tomorrow night.

Have replaced the rear window switches and got them working but still have no power to the centre console switches. I have temporarily fed power to this switch from the cigarette lighter and all windows work. Anyone got an idea where the "power windows timer" lives under the dash, as the wiring diag I got off the web seems to indicate that this will be the prob. Thanks, Wardie

try the kick panel on the drivers side for the power window timer....
