I've tried to measure the offset of my stock R32 rims. It's a bit hard to be sure on the car but they seem to have 40mm offset.

If my 6.5" R32 rims are 40mm offset and Gtt rims are 7" would 35mm be near the ideal offset?

Does anyone know what the actual Gtt offset is?

They are 7.5 wide not 7.

Stock tyre size is 225/45/17.

Offset is roughly 35 front, 38 rear. - May want to double check that

Are you sure the offset is different front to back?

I bought a set of GTT rims today and they are all the same. The offset seems to be 39 or 40mm. It's a bit hard to measure to the mm with the tyres on.

From outside to outside the rims are 22mm wider than my 6.5" R32 rims so yeah, they are probably 7.5".

Anyway they look like a 100% legal upgrade for the R32 :)

Yes i was wrong about the offset. That was the offsets for 18x8 and 18x9 to fit my car. Nfi why i remembered at the time that they were stock offsets.

But yes they are most definitely 7.5 wide. Tyre placards etc state it.

I tried fitting them today.

Julzz was right, the fronts don't quite clear the TypeM caliper.

A 3mm spacer would fix it but aren't these illegal?

They only just touch as you fully tighten the wheel nuts.

Actually there would be plenty of thickness in the caliper to shave about 2mm off the edge that touches the wheel.

Is this too bodge?

majority of people shave off the Nissan wording on the caliper, this usually gives enough clearance for the rims.

id prefer to do that instead of spacers, as spacers are illegal.

Mine didnt touch the nissan logo, it was far from it. It was hitting the whole edge of the caliper when the tyre was rotated.

I have 34gtt rims on my 32gtst, they are 7.5" wide. I'm running 225s on the front and 245s on the back.

Initially had to run a 3mm spacer on the front as the rims bound up on the brakes, when I changed to 33gtst brakes this problem went away and I didn't need the 3mm spacer (there is barely 1mm of clearance though).

I have fitted r34 gtt rims onto a r33 gtst with no problems at all.. No need for spacers etc

However it might be ideal putting 3mm spacers on.

offsets are 38 (so i have read on these forums in the past threads)

I dont see why it wont fit a r32.

They got smaller brakes right? compared to 33s? if so then will fit perfect

I have seen pics of 32s with 34 gtt rims :P

bubba- WOW you got 245s on a 7.5inch width rim?? how? lol

thought 235s would be the most..

Yup same here.

however, its like a mm off from touching.

Rims still rotate freely!!

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
