We could always boost up and race all the Car Clubs down the express way and onto Cotter road to ensure we get there first.

yea i would say we either go first or last i dont want to be in the middle of the pack worst area ever :P but seriously we should look at the posative side to this eg the charity so lets all just be careful, look after each other and have fun :D

Im with you leech.  STONE CHIPS SOUND VERY BAD!! And I hate the dirt too.

Im in for the cruise though.

MUSEUM sounds good

Hey mick long time no see, will be good to see you and your best out again :D

It has now been confirmed. The NMA and NCA have both approved use of teh carpark.

The museum carpark has been booked in for the 13th February from 10:00am to 11:00am. I will be there to co-ordinate where the cars are to parked for the meet before the drive.

Just a reminder that driving like a tard is not acceptable. Here is an example of what happens when drives go wrong...

With the cars people are bringing to the event we dont want anyone being stupid and damaging our prides and joy.

That said, should be a great drive and a big performance car meet for a good cause.

Stevie - are you able to do your thing with the media?

Well done Cam this is looking good! Its time for me to get stuck in with the media! I think the NM is the best place for any coverage.

PLEASE!!! If I can get some media to cover the cruise, DONT GET STUPID!!! The first squeel of tyres will be the end of the GOOD story and the begining of the BAD story...

I know us SAU guys and gals will be good but I am concerned about the "unknown" cruisers... Fingers crossed!

I will post up any confirmations from media!

I'm looking forward to this. i'm getting my new wing installed tomorrow and Integra have my baby booked for next week to make sure she's all up to scratch.

and any wheel spin won't be from my direction; stageas = too fat/heavy to spin 4 wheels

Stevie, couldnt agree more mate. I have put up a post on the forums that I have advertised on saying that being a dickhead wont be tolerated. This is a good opportunity to get some good publicity for the modified car scene, especially imports as they have copped a hammering in the media lately. As the organiser, I dont want to be known as the guy who organised the cruise that turned to shit.

Jayson - like your style.

Damn Suspension! thought it was gonna be all ready for this cruise... but got second thoughts now.... its taken bout 3 weeks for the parts to arrive, now they have... There the wrong stuff.... Hope its all here and done intime for the cruise. or ill just have to ride with me 19's and stock suspension. :S

So who's figured out a good place for us to meet first before the cruise starts?

is that still the plan, meet up first, then all arrive at the cruise meet together?

anywho, i have no idea where a good place is, just wondering

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
