MrBlonde
Holy farking christ, Kenny! I love it when you talk like that Adrian. ;-) ill check out the videos now one just finished downloading.. Cool, here are some direct links to the movies. You need DivX to watch them I think. 25th August 2004 First ten second pass incar, stand File size 15.8M Codec: DivX Pro 5.2 First ten second pass stand File size 9.8M Codec: DivX 5.1.1 18th August 2004 Five passes on street radials File size 65.7M Codec: DivX Pro 5.2 In car showing boost gauge, speedo and tacho File size 9.8M Codec: DivX 5.1.1 28th July 2004 Three easy pieces File size 24.8M Codec: DivX 5.1.1 Alternate takes of wins vs Raima and Mopar Boy File size 15.5M Codec: DivX 5.1.1 Racing Raima File size 17.7M Codec: DivX 5.1.1 Racing Mopar Boy File size 24.8M Codec: DivX 5.1.1 21st July 2004 21st July passes File size 30.6M Codec: DivX 5.1.1 14th July 2004 14th July passes File size 32.0M Codec: DivX 5.1.1 thanks again for the advice, i think i will also turn up again in a few months (cant be taking time off every week!) for another run. in the meantime ill have a go at a trackday if one comes up... Obviously the Winter months are when the badass contingent comes out to play. Sounds like you've been bitten by the bug! ps kenny, are you sure your turbos are large enough? Hehe. The new turbo is mocked in place inthe foreground, the old turbo (the one I used on the ten second pass) is held by Herbert in the background. M Coupes only need one turbo to run you know! Turbo specs for new one? Adrian Adrian, stock bodywork will be replaced, it's just off to fit up the parachute anchor. Using a Stack dash with a Stack boost gauge, Autometer shift light and warning light. Erik will work out how to fit all that shit into the OEM dashboard. Staying with the BMW ECU with piggyback. Running a larger Garrett ball bearing turbo now. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/61228-why-so-slow/page/2/#findComment-1159810 Share on other sites

RNS11Z
Your TS seems very low for the mods you have. I would put your car on a dyno for a tune Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/61228-why-so-slow/page/2/#findComment-1161639 Share on other sites

siksII
Your TS seems very low for the mods you have. I would put your car on a dyno for a tune i might get it checked out in a while, i got the car in its current tune, it feels right for what it is... it felt quite slow that day i think because of the heat... but yeah i know that other cars with similar or less mods have higher mph. i know the motor is good though as i have checked compression so it cant be that.. MrBlonde
hey what type of drivetrain does that bm have? That BM has a stock 5 speed manual BMW transmission driving through an OEM BMW driveline and diff. Basically it's all factory apart from a beefier clutch. DezertEagle
Yeah that time seems very slow for the mods. I ran a 13.9, 2.2 60ft'r at 205mph with 'just' - Front Mount - 13psi - Turbo Back Exhaust - POD FILTA BRO! No suspension mods, and on 235 Marshal Racers (Very very poor tyres) The morning I went down the strip I had it dyno'd and there was a problem, it wouldn't get over 100kw, the crank angle sensor was full retarded and we only knocked the CAS forward so I could have more power, ran again with 169kw An as benm said, you really do have to drive it like you stole it, don't be scared to go that extra step you don't on the street Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/61228-why-so-slow/page/2/#findComment-1183129 Share on other sites

wrxhoon
Doing fine , i still have the trap speed on him though . I don't think i'll be doing anymore to this car , i'm waiting for my r34 gtr ( its in Osaka waiting for a ship ) . Mick should be a bit quicker next time at wsid , new spark plugs fitted and spark plug cover off , thats got to be an extra .2 - .3 sec quicker ! When are you going there next ? Good to here about the R34 on the way. Mick's Skyline will definitely improve ET and trap speed with the spark plugs. Imagine if he gave it a wash! We will be out when this phase of build on the M Coupe is completed. We will have to run the new engine in before the final tune as well so we should be out again April-May 2005.
