GUYS, THESE COILOVERS ARENT FOR SALE ANYMORE!!!!

One of the forum members kindly looked over them (im a noob to suspension) and told me that they were pretty much stuffed...

I dont want to sell anything dodgy to people on these forums, as I have respect for all of you guys....

These coilovers were purchased of a "Sponsor" of NS.com in which im going to have a word to him about... I was told only 1 would need a rebuild, and that the others still had "Plenty of life in them"

I will ask the sponsor of NS.com to give me a refund politely, and see how it goes from there... If not, well I guess you guys will find out who the sponsor is on NS.com who sold me these dodgy shocks!

Guys, be careful when buying over the net especially interstate.... Its hard to judge from pictures on things such as suspension as I have just learnt....

Thanks mate :P

I dont believe in ripping off people, so I pretty much refuse to sell this gear... So now im $500 down, and trying to recover my costs by contacting the "Sponsor" from the Nissan silvia forums...

I did manage to call him, however he pretty much said "no refund" blah blah blah, and "f....k off!".... Hmmm nice customer service huh... I also rang several times which he didnt pick up, until I used another number and rang, and he picked up... Weird huh!!

Anyhow, we will see what happens in the next few days whether or not he will send me the money...

Im happy to send them back at my own expense, providing a full refund... PM me if you want to know who the sponsor on NS.com forums is...

Cheers

Jason

mr_g - mate sorry to hear about the suspension. Coincidently i was also going to buy these coilovers of the guy from ns.com but as you can see i didnt.

Smart thinking.... But yeah, this guy really doesnt want to talk to me for some reason... Doesnt reply to email, pm, sms.... So if you want my advice, dont buy something off that same guy EVER!!!

Might have to make a trip down to Melbourne and talk to his parents... Supposedly the guy is only 20 which is what another forum member on Ns.com told me...

Just jap offered me $50 for the suspension gear which I just paid $500 for... :D

Not happy Jan!!!!

Definately taking some sought of action if I dont get my refund!

He only told me there was one leaky which needed a rebuild, so I was happy with rebuilding the rear pair, since the leaky was the rear left... But didnt realise they would need shaft replacement too upon further inspection...

If you think its pretty cheap, wanna buy them off me ??

If I dont get my refund, ill just dump these pretty much for a cheap ass price of $350....

So ya, it looks like ill have to pretty much get rid of these anywayz, as I dont think this guy is going to give me my cash...

Anybody want coilovers??

1 dead shock that leaks oil like crazy, another one is on its way out with slight leaks... Shafts all have burns, except one shock... Only one shock out of the 3 has no problems!

At least ill recover some costs... Would suite someone who knows people in the suspension industry, ie that can get rebuilds done cheap cheap... No adjustment tools, but these are height and damper adjustable... If your in melb, you can go hassle the guy who I bought them off...

Cheers

Jason

Ya, was $600 before I got them checked out... I have no clue about suspension being a noob, but hey, someone on the forums checked them out for me, told me whats wrong with them and all, and then I had the feeling of getting jacked!!!

If the guy lived in Syd, he would have coped it by now!

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
