REDLINE PERFORMANCE CRUISE FOR THE SALVOS – BIGGEST EVENT OF 2005 13/03/05

Guys and girls the time has come for the modified car industry and all the p platers out there to show Australia how we put on a cruise for charity and do it responsibly.

This event has huge coverage including a channel 9 news crew from the today show which will be doing a story on our cruise. Hot 4’s , street commodors and 2DAMAX aswell as other magazines on the day. Local radio stations will also be checking out the event !!!

Highway patrol will be escourting us down to the cruise spot and we have there backing for the event, no body will be defecting but street racing and burnouts will not be tolerated by them and we are on show to the country via channel 9 to show them that the modified car industry is not full of hoons and people that care about the community.

A team from the salvos will be coming down with us and we will have some gorgeous models walking round with the donation bins.

There will be trophies on the day with on cruise judging for the top cars in different catagories.

Date: 13th March 2005

Meeting point for sydney : P6 carpark

Time: 10:30

Meeting point for central coast : Twin servos at wyong

These were my favorites:

1. "Highway Patrol" 2. "Hot 4's & 3. "No Defects"

:(

umpossible

Well, hehehe. on a serious side... hold on,

:) :) :)

You forgot number 4 - P Platers

Seriously though, this is going to turn out either really good or really bad for the modified car scene (DUH!!!). If there would be dickhead behaviour than the media is going to bite into it hard. Even if everyone is behaving but the media decide to discredit the car mod scene they ll just interview some bogans who should never got the licenses in the first place. So the chances are its going to be pretty bad.

I'd wait and see how will rotary and NS react to this.

    • I am well aware as I did rant at him to buy a MX5, buy the 2.5 before he DIY'ed it, etc as well as do things to the holden. He will obtain a ND. It's the best of both worlds. They look great in person, definitely the best looking one. Just a matter of time now.
    • Remember this is the same person who said he’d never own an nc
    • ouch! how is the car now?I had sold my gtr but have been looking into some on trademe and a 260RS but I wouldnt be keen on any repairs needed on them
    • This sounds like someone who would have owned an R33 in their past... It's okay, I'm 100% picking up what you're putting down Mark.
    • Just back on what was raised about jacking off the the tow/tie down point on the front of cars. I've used it plenty. I've also watched it on a car where you could see it move the front end of the car. It was like the front end/whole car being tweaked and twisted a bit. I will say, I struggle to find good jacking points on MOST cars. The ones that have good points, I then normally struggle to find a jack tall enough to make the car change height!   One of my go to points for either the jack, or the axel stands though, is either a suspension pickup point, OR a subframe to chassis major bolting point. I actually think its the subframe on my R33 that has a bit of a bend in it, from being jacked in the middle too. However, it could have been one of my many other cars I've had over the years! Or it could also be the from me jacking it up, and the fact the top of the front radiator support isn't there, so it can allow the front of the car to move and bend etc.
