Hello

As per usual I have bought something then the car has turned up with it :( I get my car back monday and it already has good dampers in it, so no point in changing them.

OK, They have not been on the car, but I will be slightly flexible in price, these are the best condition pre-loved shocks I have seen in my life. I wouldn't have bought dodgy crap and I don't sell it

I got no tools with it but I purchased a universal adjuster height adjust them. at 40 extra cost to me. this is included, as for the damper adjustment you can just use a suitable size alan key . They are only 1 month old in terms of USEAGE and less then 4000km's travelled on the car I was told. they look it!

PRICE is $1400.00 + shipping, I'm in sydney so if anyone wants to pick them up I can meet you somewhere.

These have just been advertised in SPEED magazine, price new from a shop is

$3250.00

ABSOLUTE BARGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Type NA Damper

Type NA for solid and sharp handlingThe type NA damper can be used from the street to the circuit with 16 levels (clickable) expansion and contraction adjustable mechanism. This damper is for those who want to enjoy the ultimate driving in various situations.

THE TEIN OFFER Suspension tuning is a must item for people who pursue the joy of driving. You cannot start to talk about the enjoyment of perfect control of your car without suspension tuning. However, there is a tendency to see it as something limited to people who want to drive in circuits or rush through mountain roads, something which is at the detriment of riding comfort. Most people either give up or don't want to go to extremes. However, this set us thinking. Do you really need to give up comfort for a sporty ride? Can't you get better footwork from your car with more ease? So this is what TEIN offers. Low-down styling with sporty handling, but balanced with comfort.TEIN TYPE NR/NA DAMPER KIT gives you the opportunity to improve your footwork, just as you would change your tires or wheels.

TUNING OVERVIEW TYPE NA/NR DAMPER KIT

is based on styling, comfort and well balance. Everything has been reviewed in order to create a new footwork at levels which could not be accomplished with the low down spring or low down spring and sports shock absorber combination. The biggest feature of this damper is that even though it achieves the low down styling through short case, we created stroke, damping effect and spring rate for the street from scratch. In normal short stroke structure sports shock absorbers, by shortening the stroke, the damping effect must be adjusted in order to absorb the impact from the roads, and leads to bumpy and uncomfortable rides. TYPE NR/NA DAMPER KIT expanded the case diameter at the same time of short casing. It allowed for improvement of 130% capacity over normal and maximum stroke. This led to stabilizing the damping effect and can bring sporty handling with low-down form with a balanced comfortable ride without needless adjustment of the spring rate and damping effect. In addtion, it is also allows for changing tires and wheel sizes, an ever popular option. Our product will adjust to any weight changes and changes in performance which comes from changing tire and wheel sizes.Normal roads are different from the circuit with mixed road surfaces and conditions. With the prices for screw type height adjusting shock absorbers becoming this low, it is possible for original type shock absorbers to be free of going extremely in the direction of short strokes and sport setting. The TYPE NR/NA DAMPER brings to you the right setting for road conditions, with both comfort and stability.

ASSURING SHORT STROKE AND MAXIMUM STROKE

Generally, sports shocks tend towards emphasizing their short strokes. By shortening the stroke, they need more damping effect, leading to deteriotion of riding comfort. Our TYPE NA/NR damper achieves short casing, but with maximum stroke. In addition, we have been able to achieve 130% capacity over normal for damping effect, allowing for stability. We bring to you, sporty handling without having to overly increase damping effect, making for a balance of comfort and sophistication.

WELL BALANCED TUNING

We offer height adjustment, stroke, spring rate, damping effect setting which are optimal to each model type. Just like there are different types of dress-up methods for sedans, saloons and sport cars, we offer a variety of choices for your car's footwork. Through this, our TYPE NR/NA dmaper kit is available to a wide range of users - from the comfort oriented to the sports oriented.

COMPATIBLE WITH LOW DOWN FORMS AND INCH UP TIRES TEIN NA/NR damper allows for changing tires and wheel sizes, an ever popular option. Our product will adjust to any weight changes and changes in performance which comes from changing tire and wheel sizes.

My mechanic hasn't had time with him working soley on my car.

but after speaking to a place in Vic they said that they wouldn't be much thicker then the std shocks if at all. not too sure on it.

They have from memory 4 height settings, and 16 damper adjustment settings, these are awesome,

anyone wanting pics put there email here

thanks heaps

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
