I must say i find it funny that he's the one banned when some of the more offensive/insulting comments are coming from us!

Its probably cause

a) he started it

B) he kept it going

c) he did not follow the forum rules

d) has no interest other than to stir crap...

But if you want to get banned I am sure there are some mods more than happy to!!

You skyline drivers are so narrow minded.

HSVs are not slow.

you have to compait cars stock.

Yes there are 300rwkw GTS-ts..... but u cant compair it to a stock Clubsport... and then say its slow. Cause a stock Clubby will chew a stock Skyline.

:bs!: HSV is Sh|t, always has been Sh|t and always will be Sh|t unless Nissan buy's them out, it's all about quality and lets face it, those barley holden together common whores are tarted up buckets of crap.....now back to LS1 you go.

Clearly skylinekiller has been killed by skylinesaustralia, however i think i should take time out of my highly technical, educated job to belittle this fool - Skyline killer you literally sum up the exact reason why there is a v8 vs import war.

The sad facts that war started is because 20 years ago, the bigger your 8 the cooler you were (and the less you needed to shave or change your flanellette shirt) since the imports arrived, most v8 owners can't turn a corner without feeling inferior, and needing to put on a generally discraceful attempt to 'put us in our place'.

I wont continue along that line of discussion, there is no point, the irony of intellect is that you need one to understand anything I, or 95% of the other members of this forum's thoughts. Personally i'd rather be around people that can construct a full sentence, constructed with facticious basis, rather than aimless malice driven posts. Now, to highlight some things i thought needed highlighting:)

Tell me..... if japanese technology is so great?

why can they not get 7500HP out of one of there engines.

A 540Ci supercharged keith black V8 makes 7500HP and 5000Nm of torque?

Most powerful jap engine I know of is a 1900HP Lexus V8 (ahah and it had to be a v8)

1. What chickys? - I prefer mine with teeth.

2. I've never lost to a HSV, big deal - you tell us we pick our races, i'm flat out finding a HSV that is game to make eye contact with me.

3. Your car doesn't look like a rice burner, neither does mine, And you can not sensibly debate 'looks' anywhere, looks will always be personal opinion - there is no definitive way to prove that something looks better than something else you pathetic child.

4. What a pathetically indescriptive comment - tell us how much its cost you.

5. You are welcome to demonstate your brute power to me, and i'll demonstrate my technologically advanced and usefully applied balance of power and precision.

11.75 seconds on street tyres.

Western Australia's, Skyline KILLER!!!!

388rkwk? and you ran 11.75? dude... you need to do some math (if you can).

There are imports running 9's with less power than you, so take your heroic gass guzzler where it fits in.

hhaha listen to you rice burners, lol

wanna know a funny story

When I was in melbourne, i was with the guys that where going on about GTRs n shit. And i started given em shit. and they said... ****ing fags that drive V8s are poofs... ***** ****s..we smash em.

"Mind you there dressed up as pretty boys, and probably wearing make up"

as we were waiting out the front of Level 1 Night Club, a VS SS drove past and they started shouting, ****ing Dinosaur, buy a GTR u *****'s.

The guys in the SS heard it, and went around for another loop, came back and got out the car, and grabbed carl (the biggest guy there, by the neck and procedded to raise his hand and thumble him)

Carl shat, and was nearly in tears. This guy in the SS made him scream out that turbos are gay, and carl did as told..... haah

you turbo guys are all new age soft ****s that drive gay cars, and talk about kws/kg and turbo timers and shit like that.... ****ing NURDS!!!!

hahaha, u really should see how u all look from my possition.... look GAY!!!!

Dude i would love to say that the most exciting thing i can find to do with my time is to enjoy beating someone up. But, no, i would hate to say i enjoy that. If nothing else, i think you are the most dispicable person ive come across in... a very long time. You take pleasure in hurting other people? Dude even monkeys respect each other.

7500HP v8's? dude why dont you use that last remaining brain cell to go ask someone what the fundamental difference is between that an the import racers.

I'll give you a hint, its a liquid and you wouldn't want to be covered in if you were practicing firetwirling.

This is the gayest thread I've read in a while...

What we can safely assume, even before this thread, is that:

- Any production car can be made fast with enough money+time+tallent.

- Any production engine can make much more power that it was designed to with enough money+time+tallent.

- Any driver, regardless of the car they drive, their age, etc, can be narrow minded.

- Arguing these points on the net, especially on a single car biased forum, is retarded.

- Comparing Top Fuel to road cars is like comparing trees with airconditioners

.

You don't get out much do you ?? :kick:

:) where was i when this start bamn it :)

commodore gen 3 = bucket of puss

and i owned i for 3 years and now own gtr there is no way to compare them

like trying to compare a fatter agram and a super model

gtr is classed as a super car in its stock form (japan restricted 208kw)and there isnt a holden to date been classed as a supercar and never will be.

:headshot:

You Guys take bait to easily.......it's horses for courses....He Likes holdens (it's not your fault he has bad taste).......we like skylines.....end of story....get over it!!!!

It's not really that important, have some mutual appreciation.....a lot of fun can be had in a V8 too you know :)

yeah alot of fun can be had in a V8 check out the pics in this thread

    • Update 3: Hi all It's been a while. Quite a lot of things happened in the meantime, among other things the car is (almost) back together and ready to be started again. Things that I fixed or changed: Full turbo removal, fitting back the OEM turbo oil hardlines. Had to do quite a bit of research and parts shopping to get every last piece that I need and make it work with the GT2860 turbos, but it does work and is not hard to do. Proves that the previous owner(s) just did not want to. While I was there I set the preload for the wastegates to 0,9bar to hopefully make it easier for the tuner to hit the 370hp I need for the legal inspections that will follow later on. Boost can always go up if necessary. Fitted a AN10 line from the catch can to the intake hose to make the catchcan and hopefully the cam covers a slight vacuum to have less restrictive oil returns from the head and not have mud build up as harshly in the lines and catch can. Removed the entire front interior just shy of the dashboard itself to clean up some of the absolutely horrendous wiring, (hopefully) fix the bumpy tacho and put in LED bulbs while I was there. Also put in bulbs where there was none before, like the airbag one. I also used that chance to remove the LED rpm gauge on the steering column, which was also wired in absolute horror show fashion. Moved the 4in1 Prosport gauge from sitting in front of the OEM oil pressure gauge to the center console vents, I used a 3D printed vent piece to hold that gauge there. The HKB steering wheel boss was likely on incorrectly as I sometimes noticed the indicator reset being uneven for left vs. right. In the meantime also installed an airbag delete resistor, as one should. Installed Cube Speed premium short shifter. Feels pretty nice, hope it'll work great too when I actually get to drive. Also put on a fancy Dragon Ball shift knob, cause why not. My buddy was kind enough to weld the rust hole in the back, it was basically rusted through in the lowermost corner of the passenger side trunk area where the wheel arch, trunk panel and rear quarter all meet. Obviously there is still a lot of crustiness in various areas but as long as it's not rusted out I'll just treat and isolate the corrosion and pretend it's not there. Also had to put down a new ground wire for the rear subframe as the original one was BARELY there. Probably a bit controversial depending on who you ask about this... but I ended up just covering the crack in the side of the engine block, the one above the oil feed, with JB Weld. I used a generous amount and roughed up the whole area with a Dremel before, so I hope this will hold the coolant where it should be for the foreseeable future. Did a cam cover gasket job as the half moons were a bit leaky, and there too one could see the people who worked on this car before me were absolute tools. The same half moons were probably used like 3 times without even cleaning the old RTV off. Dremeled out the inside of the flange where the turbine housing mates onto the exhaust manifolds so the diameter matches, as the OEM exhaust manifolds are even narrower than the turbine housings as we all know. Even if this doesn't do much, I had them out anyways, so can't harm. Ideally one would port-match both the turbo and the manifold to the gasket size but I really didn't feel up to disassembling the turbine housings. Wrapped turbo outlet dumps in heat wrap band. Will do the frontpipe again as well as now the oil leak which promted me to tear apart half the engine in the first place is hopefully fixed. Fitted an ATI super damper to get rid of the worn old harmonic balancer. Surely one of the easiest and most worth to do mods. But torquing that ARP bolt to spec was a bitch without being able to lock the flywheel. Did some minor adjustments in the ECU tables to change some things I didn't like, like the launch control that was ALWAYS active. Treated rusty spots and surface corrosion on places I could get to and on many spots under the car, not pretty or ideal but good enough for now. Removed the N1 rear spats and the carbon surrounding for the tailpipe to put them back on with new adhesive as the old one was lifting in many spots, not pretty. Took out the passenger rear lamp housing... what do you know. Amateur work screwed me again here as they were glued in hard and removing it took a lot of force, so I broke one of the housing bolts off. And when removing the adhesive from the chassis the paint came right off too. Thankfully all the damaged area won't be visible later, but whoever did the very limited bodywork on this car needs to have their limbs chopped off piece by piece.   Quite a list if I do say so myself, but a lot of time was spent just discovering new shit that is wrong with the car and finding a solution or parts to fix it. My last problem that I now have the headache of dealing with is that the exhaust studs on the turbo outlets are M10x1.25 threaded, but the previous owner already put on regular M10 nuts so the threads are... weird. I only found this out the hard way. So now I will just try if I can in any way fit the front pipe regardless, if not I'll have to redo the studs with the turbos installed. Lesson learned for the future: Redo ALL studs you put your hands on, especially if they are old and the previous owners were inept maniacs. Thanks for reading if you did, will update when the engine runs again. Hope nothing breaks or leaks and I can do a test drive.
    • No those pads are DBA too  but they have colors too. I look at the and imo the green "street" are the best.
    • I’m not sure what happened I told them about sonic tunes free OTS tune and the next the I know .. I was booted..   To funny
    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
