What a weekend if i'ver ever had one.

I would like to thank everyone who came along.

There are some awesome cars in SAU-Vic and seeing 35 or so of them together really makes it brilliant.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

Tops to everyone that turned out.

I must say, the 2nd day is something a lot of you should have stayed for. The views and the roads we drove on are the best in Vic without a doubt.

Prawn platters in Port Campbell... what more can a man want?

The split 2-day event will become a yearly thing judging by peoples feedback on the event.

Hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

Now for our next cruise - Phillip Island.

Till then - ash

It was a magnificent cruise setup by the SAU VIC team. Truely a work of art. THe second day was i felt much better, less standing around for photos more driving some great roads and seeing some marvelous secenery. It was really good to be able to talk the shit and drink the beer with some good mates i have now made in sau vic. Even my girlfriend melissa said she had a great time so well done! :(

Only went on the Saturday down to Apollo Bay, but still had a great time. It was an awesome sight to see 30 odd skylines (and one wrx :) ) snaking along some sweet stretches of road. Congrats to all involved in the planning, will be keeping my eye out for the next one.

That was an awesome weekend! Prob best cruise yet next to the blackreefton spur. Sat night was a lot of fun and for once it was the girls who were the drunken messes not us guys! :)

The second day was awesome, started off with a big breakfast in town then headed through some nice twisty roads down to the 12 Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge. From there down to Apolo Bay for a late lunch and drinks. From there back through the Otways.....now that was fun! We then hit Colac for a bit of a break and the locals here were a good laugh, bit like a mini Chaple Street. "How fast do they go" "Who's is the quickest" "Can you do a burnout" Hahaha. That plus the local cars doing laps of the main street, was some nice cars!

From there back through Geelong and off home. I'd just like to say thanks to all who came along and for making it such a fun weekend! Was nice to get to know some of you better! For those that didn't come.........you missed out bad! :)

There will be around 3 rolls of pics I'll be posting soon so keep your eyes open

must give a big thanks to all the guys involved in organizing this meet it was awsome, for the guys who went home on the saturday we had a good run home but would good to have stayed the weekend many thanx again cant wait till the next one.

Awsome cruise indeed, even though i didnt get to Apollo Bay till 5 in the arvo. The over night stay was a great opportunity to get to know some of the members on a more social level, now feel to be a "member" in the actual sense rahter than an onlooker at events

If your a new member....you definatly missed out.

Away from the social side, the drive was great.....good roads, good views, good cars......what more could you ask for.......oh i know......more 98RON fuel stops....hehe

Big thanks to Ash an all the SAU guys organising!! cant wait for the next one.

    • Yeah been doing it in an x shape. Do you reckon it's worth putting guide coat early where the filler isn't sanded down completely smooth? Reason I ask is because as I'm sanding it one part might be level which I don't need to sand anymore but the other part might be high so I can just focus on that instead of sanding across the whole repair area. I wonder if the putty is too thin, though the area is almost completely smooth before I do it as I've already put filler prior.
    • Just 2, and inline. One switch temp related other switch driver controlled.   I'm nearly in my head back to Arduino land for it...
    • Complex conex, sand in X shape. And don't go hardcore. I find putting on filler to be the art here to help.
    • Hey y'all, I have a completely stock 1991 R32 GTR, yesterday I took my car out and went for about a thirty minute drive. It was fine on the way there but when returning home I think the car might have gone into a limp mode. I was cruising in 5th gear around 130km/h, the hicas light came on and there was a significant loss of power. About a minute later I hear a thump, the car starts driving normal again and is fine the rest of the drive back. This is the second time its happened, same as now it was fine on the trip there. On the way back it had the hicas light on but that time I would feel the power going in and out before hearing the same thump and it being fine.  I have no idea idea what causing this, but if anyone has any ideas it would be great as a start chasing the cause of this. Also I can provide more details if needed. Thank you
    • When sanding across a convex panel, you need to sand, as much as possible, at right angles to the curve. If the panel is compound convex curved (ie curved in both directions) then you are SOL and have to use "craftsmanship" to get it right.
