What tyres to get? Value/performance

In the market for some 235/40/18 and 245/40/18s and want decent performance/wear/wet weather out of them but don't want to pay an arm and a leg for them. What would you's recommend?

Your main problem is having 18's in the first place.. the tyres are just damn expensive even for the cheapest..

Search never seems to work for me, search function always seems to be unavailable.

Anyways, I like the Falkens. Cheap and nice tread pattern and has the lip over the edge so you dont bite the gutters as hard as if you didnt. (Been there, done that )

the search function has never not worked on this forum!! Sure, the rest of the site may be slow as hell sometimes, but the search has *always* worked..

You have to wait until the whole page has loaded, then it brings down the box..

Ended up getting rims/tyres together about a month old. Scored 95% Bridgestone Potenza G3s 225/40/18 and 255/35/18s for about $800 more than just the rims would've cost. Anyone know what these go for?

Oh, and I did use search and read the thread linked but just after a few more opinions.
