Hi All,

For those expecting your cars on Mitsui OSK's Bravery Ace (Yokohama to fremantle) it will be arriving ahead of schedual on Thursday 10th of March at 12pm - see updated Freports website

http://www.fremantleports.com.au/

Whose r32's are coming in on this ship?

Yay! now I wonder if customs works on a saturday..

:headspin:

:headspin:

The Bravery Ace is in. Went past at 3.00pm ramp was down, shit load of wharfies walking up ramp but no cars off just yet. There is a good viewing point on the pedestrian bridge near Captain Munchies or behind office works. Might go down later on with a video camera and get a bit of footage.

Mines on there as well. Mwhaha the only R32 GTS-T on there as well. From what I can see made onto this shipment is a R32 GTS-T (mine), three R32 GTR's, A cefiro, An MR2 turbo, RS Legacy and a 300ZX. I think thats all of them.

Gotboost,

i dont think you are the only 32 gtst, i know of at least one other. sorry didnt mean to ruin the party. The list you have may just be cars that made it on the boat from the one supplier. I think i received a similar list from Mark Shumann. nonetheless all our rides are finally here!!

Ok. I got a list that was sent to me via email from my supplier that said 9 cars made it onto this ship. I'm guessing that, that was only from the cars purchased under him. I'm going down right now to have a look at the cars that are arriving.

Just been down to see the Bravo Ace car carrier. Much MUCH bigger than what I thought it was going to be. Went to those two places where jonn suggested. Still couldn't see anything, the only thing I saw was thousands of Hyndai's. Couldn't see any old used imports at all

The old imports are to the right near where the orange Pilot boats dock. I can send you a short wmv (1.4mb) of the cars I saw there this arvo. I think yours might be one of them. Saw shitloads of Spacegears being unloaded and also saw no thrashing of cars at all!

I spent about 20 minutes trying to find the best spot. turns out it is infront of the bus stop. why didnt i just go there first? Jonn I didnt see any grey gtrs, i was a but disapointed! I was happy to see no thrashing of the cars too! Thaat made me happy!

I went down today, I have a GTS-T on it, couldn’t see it, saw one but it didn’t look like an r32, right color though.

Think I saw you car Got Boost, that is if its the car in your aviator (maybe not if your car is white. ehehe), I spend over 30 minutes with some 24x binoculars, at the bus port. Just slowly looking at every car.

At 24x zoom, its very hard to keep the cars in frame, plus all the light comming off the water :D

What Import Broker and compliance people is everyone using?

Got Boost, My import broker, (not Bill) said i should have it Wednesday at the latest.

He also said that due to the amount of new cars getting dropped off the ship in Fremantle, this time, (a ****en shit load), is the reason why it will take a little longer, than expected. Also mentioned that Quarantine now are taking 48hrs to book examinations for cars, once paper work has been lodge.

Went down on sunday with a good pair of binoculars. Saw a lot of cars easily as well as my own. Cars i saw were. A white cefiro, Gun metal grey GTR, white coupe R32 GTS-T, A red R33, 4 door grey R32 and my white 4 door R32 GTS-T. Saw a couple of other GTR's but can't remember the exact colours. Can't wait! :D

I won’t see my car till Thursday, now at the earliest. It was booked into an inspection with Quarantine on Monday at 2:30pm but the stevedore didn't have any cars ready. So now it is rebooked for Thursday 8.30am at the earliest. This shit just happens sometimes.

Anyone else had else had any early experiences with there customs broker/agent?

I haven't been in contact with them at all. Thought they were just going to ring me instead.... Well my experience is that I haven't heard anything back from them whatsoever. Am I supposed to contact them to help finish the process?

    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way. Simples
