midnight
the kiwi shipping company damadged my driver door in transport, reversed into something with it open. got a quote to fix dent, front quarter, replace hinge and respray and blend the side at $2500, turns out that kiwi was well aware of the damage as when I reported it they sent me back a picture of the dent and questioned some of the items on the quote. havent heard back from them in a week so im hoping theyll coff up Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/66972-importing-thieving/page/2/#findComment-1304744 Share on other sites
allblitz
I have had RSM's stolen, decks, gauges, and also have had a GTR front bar come down in the back seat in 2 pieces. Kiwi is the worse when it comes to carelessness. Their insurance does not cover internal parts. sktz-34
hey guys, i got my stock R34 GTT perfect and untouched... but was is their to grab on a stockie? Didn't have a head unit to begin with so i knew that wasn't taken. Speakers were aftermarket but weren't touched. Now i'm importing a heavily modified R32 GTR, which i am worried about what's going to get taken. It's got twin z32 afms, safc, head unit, etc, and a lot more. If it lands and everything is still there, i'll be very fortunate. If not, well then what can you do! DAN00H
mate, you can expect to lose that nice turbo, AFM's and any decent stereo gear as well.... No - jokes. If anything is easy to remove (head unit) then get the supplier to post it air mail to you, also put anything like nice gear knob etc in, as it only costs about $50 for air freight for about 2kg's. better than losing stuff. Good luck, everything arrived ok in mine. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/66972-importing-thieving/page/2/#findComment-1325994 Share on other sites
GTaaargh
Well, my R32 GTR came in fine. Stereo, speakers, Z32 AFMs, A pillar boost gauge, everything - and it sat in a Japanese storage for 8 months waiting to be shipped over.
