Hey guyz. this is not a big deal but still i hate it when things are not right. Sometimes when i let down the handbrake the handbrake light on the dash still lights up. Sometimes it goes off when i drop it but sometimes it stays on for the whole time im driving.

Anyone else had this problem? and a sloution to it... without cutting the cables ;)

As a quick guess, do you need to lubricate the switch (the one next to the handbrake with the spring)? It may be getting sticky and not operating properly by returning to the 'off' position once the handbrake is lowered.

It's in the coloured box (in the attachment).

edit: you can't see it (the switch) in the pic (it's for indicative purposes only ), but if you take the console out (~5mins max) that's where the switch is on the R32. I'd expect it to be in the same spot on your car too.

    • thanks, will conduct myself accordingly. i unfortunately put about 150 miles on the car before reading this thread again, however no PS issues, and definitely no turbo issues. it spools normally and still feels fast to me, probably because my previous car was an N/A auto sedan...gonna go fix the PS vacuum line though lol. safe to say, got what i came to this thread for. thanks
    • Agreed, I've never seen a 260RS specific manual. As GTSBoy said it will mostly be stagea other than the engine loom https://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/stageaservicemanual.pdf
